BWV POOL Fences

Took a few pictures of the newly fenced Luna Park & BWV Leisure Pools:



Personally, I like the new fences. They look good & it's now clear that the pools are for BWV guests only.

I'm not sure how the fences work for DVC Members who pool hop from other resorts.

Thanks for the pictures and updates. They were working on the main pool during our August trip. I mentioned on the boards when I returned, but folks didn't believe me. That was done pretty quickly.

I walked in 3 times and all 3 times the gate was open. I was staying there and unhappy I didn't have to use my Band. Defeats the purpose.

Interesting...Yes you can't pool hop, but if DVC youi can....I'm sure it'll distinguish that on the band though...Right?

Maybe they need to tweak the gate locks. I know over at BLT those gates lock all the time. Heck most times you can't even get your band to activate it. I'll be there soon. I wonder if the bcv quiet pool will be gated soon too. Hope so.

They were fencing Jambo House around the pool about a week and a half ago. Millers Road pool at OKW had the new fence installed all the way around, but the gates weren't up yet.

Just back from OKW and they were doing all the quiet pools with nice fencing also.

Thank you so much for the photos Carol!! We saw them measuring for these fences during our BWV stay last spring and I was so concerned the fencing would ruin the ambiance of our quiet pool. They look just fine. One question I have is whether or not we will be able to access the quiet pool early am. We literally spend our days (most) reading and swimming, relaxing and to get one of the "umbrella " tables we are usually down there by early am having our coffee and breakfast.

I agree. Hopefully the hours will not change, but fear they will. This is very annoying at the BLT pool. The gates don't open until 10:00am and there are often many waiting to get in. Like you I try desperately to get a shady spot or an umbrella for medical reasons. We have at least half our trip designated as pool days, so start out at the pool early and want a table so we can eat our meals there. Guess I'll post back soon. God willing, we leave in 9 days!

I looked more closely after we left and you are correct. The gates are not locked and do not need a MB to enter (I believed the sign, LOL). That said, it appears they do plan to add that feature soon. The gates look as though there is a spot to add the MB access hardware.
