I haven't found the answer of rent/trade page. I need 8 points for BWV next May. How do I get unexpired points for then? Can a member give me borrowed points for that time? Otherwise points they have would be expired. Right?

Points need to be effective on the date of the stay, not when you make the reservation. For example, I have an April use year, which means my points for 2003 are effective from April 1,2003 to March 31, 2004. So for a May 2003 stay I would use 2003 points and could book them next month for my home resort. No need to borrow since the stay is within the 2003 use year, I could even borrow 2004 points. I would need to borrow 2003 points if I wanted to use 2003 points before an April 1, 2003 stay. Again, the points are effective on the date of the stay, not on the date you make the reservation.

My problem is that I will have to borrow my 200 pts. from June 1,2003 use year. I have 2 pts. as of June 1, 2002 and will need 210 total pts. for my one bedroom for May3-10, 2003. How can I borrow/rent 8 points that will be good for BWV May 2003?

To only rent 8 points, you would have to find a member who could transfer points to your account (members are permitted one transfer per year). Otherwise, you would have to rent enough points to cover 1 night that they would have to book for you (looks like 22 points for a weeknight). Or you could pay cash for one night (make it a weekend night to save points).

Thanks DebbieB for the info. I have someone who will give me 8 points, but she has to borrow it from her next use year, that being Dec.1. Can she do this?

Borrowed points cannot be transferred. You can ONLY borrow points to actually make a reservation. You would have to have her make a reservation in your name using the borrowed points, but she can't just transfer the points themselves.

If the points are from her December 2002 use year she would not need to borrow since your trip is in that use year (May 2003).

Thanks Debbie and Doc. She has used all the 2002 use years points and is into 2003 points if she borrowed them. I guess I will have to rent 22 points and have her make a weekday ressie for us for us to be able to use them.
