BWV - Perferred vs. Standard questiuon

Hi all,

Do all of the standard accomadations at BWV face the parking areas? Are there any that face inward toward the pools, Swan/Dolphin, canal? If so, which can you identify the room numbers.

All of the standard view rooms face the resort entrance or the driveway leading up to it. There is quite a bit of lawn, nice landscaping and flowers between the resort and the blacktopped areas.

The other areas you mention are all in the Preferred View category.

At one point, there were some rooms that faced the canal and overlooked the DVC sales building that were occasionally assigned to some who booked standard view. It appears that now that the croquet lawn has been installed in that area (sales building was removed), these rooms have been returned to their original Preferred View category. Occasionally, DVC may still assign "overflow" standard view bookings in this area. I don't think it is a good idea to count on it.

P.S. IMHO, the standard view rooms at the BWV are the best bargain in the DVC system. I think the view from the balconies of these rooms is quite nice (you can see parts of the World Showcase in the distance from many of these rooms and as already mentioned, lots of flowers, too. It can be fun to watch the comings and goings as well).Many of them also provide a view of the upper level fireworks from IllumiNations.

I agree with Carol, the BWV standard views are very nice and a great bargain. Here's a shot from a standard BWV room, #3915 (I think). The view if you looked to the right was Epcot and at night we could see the higher fireworks from illuminations.

I have stayed in Standard view a lot, and NEVER stayed in the PV. We are going next June (06), and got a PV! It is a BW view, so DW wanted to stay at PV, so we are staying there. More points, but MAY be worth it once in a while.

I agree, the SV is the best bargain on DVC property.

I have 12 nights SV at the BWV next May/June. I am glad to hear that they are the best bargain. I will feel so smart and superior!! Just Kidding!! I will get to stay an extra couple of nights because I am in SV instead of PV and that is OK with me!

We also love the standard view rooms. I have to start calling in early August to get two-2bedroom villas for a family trip next summer. I will call day by day to add on the days to assure the standard view rooms.
