BWV or VWL in early December

Looking to rent pts for an early Dec trip (dates tbd) at BWV or VWL. Need 1br condo. Should I even pursue this or is availability during this time non-existent? I heard it's a busy time for DVC members.

It never hurts to try, but if you really want to rent points for that time, you need to get busy right now! Your best chance is to have the reservation before the 7 month window opens - that's next week! Before then, you need to finalize dates and resort choice, find an owner for that resort and negotiate/agree on the terms. If you wait until after the 7 month window opens, your chances decrease significantly.

I'm not sure what kind of room you are looking for but when I called to reserve a studio at VWL last week they were all booked during our trip (first week of Dec). At least one 1br was available.
