DD (age 13) and I decided a couple of weeks ago to plan a trip to WDW in mid July. Given that it was just a couple of months out, I didn't expect much in terms of availability. We ended up getting BWV for 5 nights and BLT for 2 nights. We've never stayed at either so I was excited to try both resorts.
Just checked and BWV is now available for the other 2 nights. I could probably link the ressies so we wouldn't have to check out / check in.

I don't know what to do :confused3 Is it worth it to pack up and spend 2 nights at BLT? Or should we just stay put? We were planning on going to EPCOT and MK those 2 days, with the last day just hanging by the pool (we have a late flight).

WWYD?

Have you done a split stay before? Some folks don't mind them. I dislike them and avoid them if at all possible unless I am at WDW for at least 12 days. If you don't mind packing up and maybe being homeless for most of moving day, then you would have the chance to try 2 new resorts instead of one. I would rather unpack once and relax and enjoy every minute of my vacation. Have fun whatever you decide!

The BWV/BLT split is what we do every summer. 2 nights at BWV and then another 3 at BLT.

We love the split stay and the ability to walk to 3 of the 4 parks. For us, it is worth it to be both places.

If you have never done it and are up for it, I think you will enjoy the convenience of both resorts. The only drawback is that the day you switch, you could be homeless until after 4:00 pm. We have been lucky and the rooms at BLT have always been ready by 2:00 pm so it has not seemed bad. One year, on a switch day, we slept in, checked out closer to check out time, and made it a DTD day. Worked great!

Good luck!

Thanks for the input! We decided to go with BWV and not do a split stay. We'll try BLT next time!

For us a split stay almost means a lost day in the transition. And that is just us. Think you made the right choice.
