BWV lockoff change from 2BR to 1BR?

I have reservations for Easter in a 2BR Std View at BWV. There is a good possibility that DH will not be able to come down. If he doesn't come down I may want to downgrade to a 1BR. Can I do this automatically since all the 2BRs are lockoffs? Or would this be the same as canceling the 2br SV and booking a 1br SV (which of course would not be available at this point)?

You would have to cancel the 2 bedroom reservation and rebook a 1 bedroom. I guess that the sooner you do it, the better your chances are of getting something. You could go on a waitlist now, I suppose while you still have the 2 bedroom.

As noted, it's a cancellation and rebooking. You can't just drop off one side and keep the other. But if it's available, you can change the reservation. Given it's Easter and a standard view, you might have some trouble with this.
