Hi,
Wanting to take our brand new DVC for a spin. Since DH is a teacher, summer is our next opportunity.

What are our chances of getting a 1 BR the second week of June? How hot is it at WDW that time of the year. We've always gone to WDW in December so it would be fun to make use of the pool and water park.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I'd bet you can still get something. Points go up June 10 or Jun 11, so if you can stay before then, you can save a few points. It's getting warm, but not horrid in early June.

We began our June vacation this year on June 10th. We were able to get a 1 bedroom at OKW 7 months out. We're staying in a studio at BWV for that time frame next year.

Tropical Storm Alberto was around this year and we did have a couple days of rain, heavy rain.

Bobbi :)

We've been the second week of June twice, once for our honeymoon in 1991 and again for a last day of school celebration in 2005. Our first trip the crowds weren't bad at all but it was very hot and humid. Our second trip in 2005 it was extremely crowded, more so than we've ever seen it (though we've never been during a holiday time). There is usually a rain shower in the afternoon, but we didn't have any rain that last more than an hour or so. It is great for waterparks and pools, but you definitely need that PM break from the heat of the parks.

We've booked our first trip. Couldn't go the second week of June because DS has one of his two football camps - big varsity player next year. We are booked for a Non-Smoking 1 BR standard view from June 21-27. Will have points to bank for next year. I have to do that by January 31st. Do people usually bank right when they think they won't use the points or wait until the last minute?

Thanks,
Teresa

We've been going in June for the last few years. In early June, you should be able to book a unit pretty easily. The weather is usually not yet totally unbearable, but getting there. We seem to get a fair amount of rain, though. Not total wash-outs, just enough to spoil a swim here and there or just overcast skies. Of course, thunderstorms are nearly a daily occurrence/possibility in Central Florida in the summer.
