I'm not sure about the chopped up. I'm not sure how many two floor GVs they have, but the one we had:
You walked into a double door entry, straight ahead was the living room, to the left a nice stairway up to the two studios that overlooked the living room, to the right was the kitchen, dining area, and the Main bedroom.
If we had never stayed in the one floor GV, we would have thought wow. But, we were like oh, ok, it's nice.
We usually stay in Universal on the two to three nights before we check into the BW. While the rest of our group are still in the parks back at Univ., I check into the GV with a few of my friends. It is still a thrill to walk in and see the room. The first thing is the 7 or 8 lighting panel as you walk, raise one, lower another etc, too cool. Crank the ACs of course, Put on ESPN on the main tv for that home feeling, and take the walk out onto one of the six balconies, open that first cold one, Toast, and my one friend says this sucks, and the other always yells out Yeah Bo! Noone knows what that means yet, but we think it's good.
Oh, and then we have to get the rest of the family.
