We leave in a few weeks for our first trip Home to BWV.
We arrive late in the afternoon and plan to grocery shop the next day using our rental car. If we can't carry everything in one load to our room, are there carts available or will we need to get assistance from the bellman? Thanks for your help! -- Suzanne

Use Bell Services for both your luggage and your groceries, together. They'll get it all on one cart, or pretty darn close. After you check in, they'll bring it all to you in your room. Don;t forget to tip.

OR...use wegoshop.com. They deliver directly to your room for a very small fee.

If your luggage has wheels they come in handy to "lug" supplies back to the room. Remember you can valet park, you don't need to climb up the hill with all your food.

We used WEGOSHOP on our last visit in June/July. It was great. Groceries are delivered right to your room. You pick the time of delivery, grocery store you want them to shop at and also what brand names you want. I was very happy with it.

. . . for all your helpful ideas and info. We will probably play it by ear when we get there and use the bell services (or our wheeled luggage) if needed. I thought about using WeGoShop but I don't want to have to be that organized in advance! In any event, we will probably shop at the Publix on Vineland and can combine that trip with a trip to the outlet mall. -- Suzanne

I agree with the other posters that the best approach is to get some help from Bell Services, but I am always curious about how much to tip for that. We have a family of 5 and typically visit for 10 days, so we have a LOT of bags to bring back after our first grocery run. The grocery stores have those little plastic bags and seem to put about two items in each bag! I think it'd cost me $30-$40 in tips if I tipped according to the $1/bag rule. For a really big order, I do usually tip $20.....it's a lot of groceries but they do always get it onto a single cart. That has always seemed like a big tip to me, but I've been torn. What does everyone else do?

Or you could just park up to the right or left of the door and unload yourself . Just let the bell stand know and they wont give you a problem.

I'm normally a conservative spender. However, on this point - use bell services and let them bring up all your stuff - luggage and groceries. We stayed at BWV, used valet, and had bell services bring up all our stuff. It was worth a nice tip. Those hallways can sure be loooonnnggg way. And it's a long trek with luggage/groceries - especially if you self park.
