We will be staying at the BWV for our first time this November as well as our friends who just became DVCers! We have requested standard rooms next to/across from each other and told that it should not be a problem......great!

My question is : what are some not-to-be-missed things to do and see -AT THIS RESORT IN PARTICULAR-? I have been to WDW many times at various resorts but NEVER to the Boardwalk! (if you can believe it!)I have heard Spoodles is supposed to be good?

Any suggestions on where to visit, what to request from the resort (as far as preferred locations or perks), etc would be greatly appreciated!

Persons going are myself, DH, DD8, DS6, DD5(will be my and DD5th b-day when we are there--yay!! Our friends going are a married couple with a DS8, DD6 and DS5
Thanks a bunch!!!:earsgirl:

We just got back Friday from our first BWV trip. We had Boardwalk view, and boy, did we have a view! I'm wondering if you might just request a pool view - just to avoid overlooking the parking lot. But, a bad view at WDW is better than a good view most other places.

We had six teenage girls with us, so our demographic is skewed. But they enjoyed traipsing along the Boardwalk, the kiester coaster at the theme pool, going over across the lake to Beaches and Cream at the YC/BC. The other dad (besides me) hung out in the ESPN Club. With younger kids, though, I'm thinking the pool will be the major draw. We didn't make Jellyrolls, but that was the one adult thing that everyone we asked raved about.

I'd heard to the contrary, but the pizza from the Spoodles takeout window wasn't bad. Then, there's hair wraps, face painting, and the surrey bikes (not much of a bargain there - a half hour rental will take you about three laps around the lake, a 7/8 mile round trip).

Boardwalk's all about the atmosphere, methinks, plus the amazing accessability of Epcot and the Studios.

We requested rooms close by each other, and were about four doors apart.

I would recommend taking the kids to the "Community Hall" near the DVC quiet pool. They have planned activities such as sand art, etc., video games, ping pong tables, video rentals for in room viewing.

We came across it by accident one rainy afternoon and had a blast (and the youngest in our group was 21).

We have stayed at the BWV twice, both times with a standard view. Honestly, for the amount of points you save, the view is not so bad! Both times we were facing the entrance of the BW. Someday we may use the extra points and go for a BW view, but it is just not that important to us. :)
