BWV Experts -- Please Advise

Just wanted to get an idea of timing for EMH at the various parks. We will be doing EMH at AKL, MGM & MK when we visit in May and we've never stayed at BWV.

**What we really want to know is what time we need to walk out of our room to ensure that we get to the parks when they open.**

We know that for MGM we will either catch the boat or walk but for AKL & MK we will be catching the bus. We will have a rental car, so it is possible we could drive to AKL, but all I have read tells me we should not try to drive to MK for EMH.

I have been told I need to expect a 30 minute room to park
time from the dolphin (near the boardwalk) to MGM or Epcot.
between walking to the boat dock, to waiting, loading, ride
and unloading...

Depending on who you listen to, bus transportation from BWV is spotty. We've stayed there 3x and not really had problems, but others on this site have had major disappointments. Currently, the Swan/Dolphin, Y and B Club, and Boardwalk share busses and the Boardwalk is the last stop. Many times the busses are full causing longer waits. However, during the peak morning periods, they add/subtract busses based on demand. The bus system is very fluid and constantly ebbing and flowing to different areas of WDW. So in theory, you shouldn't wait too long. But according to other folks, people have waited a long time for busses...

A few suggestions, make the short walk to Yacht Club and wait there for a bus or drive. For the MK, always take bus....driving takes you to the TTC and then you have to take the monorail or ferry--up to a 45 minute process depending on how busy it is....

Don't worry about the BWV;it is still a great choice...MGM/Epcot are only a short walk/boat ride away, dining choices galore, a great pool area, a very, very central location....just know what the bus system can and cannot do for you and your family and don't rely on it to get you anywhere at a specific time.
