BWV - Best Standard Room Location?

Thread title says it all. We are taking our first trip home next December and plan on booking a 2 Bedroom Standard View at BW to save on points. What requests would you recommend within this category. We will be traveling with two young children and grandparents.

IMHO, the first request should be smoking or non-smoking. After that, it "depends"!

If there are any "mobility" issues (such as strollers, wheelchairs, scooters, bad knees or any trouble with stairs, etc.), you may want to request a room near the elevators. These rooms will overlook the hotel entrance, so you will be able to sit on the balcony and watch the various "comings and goings". The area between the driveway and the rooms is very nicely landscaped - lots of shrubs and flowers.

If you don't mind a bit of a walk from the elevators (there is only one set for the villas), you may want to request an upper floor near the tennis courts. The balconies of these rooms have a view of the higher level fireworks from Illuminations. (Some may be blocked by a tree or two). In addition, if you don't mind stairs, these rooms have convenient access to the bus stop and the quiet pool.

We've stayed in several different standard view rooms and have always been satisfied. Enjoy your trip!

We had a 1 bedroom last month across from the bus stop on the 4th floor that had a great Illuminations view (room 4103).

We just had a two bedroom (1081 and 1083) on the ground floor. They are the first set of standard view rooms. Turn right and you were at the elevators or the boardwalk, turn left and you could walk out to the pool.

We always stayed on an upper floor so that we could see Illuminations. With us being there for NYE, we took what we were able to get and found that we were very happy with these rooms.
