Just got the BWV dues, and it looks like a 3.9% increase or so..
It is $4.4108/pt.
Operating-3.0388/pt
Cap. Resevr. bugget-05174/pt
Ad val. taxes-.8546/pt.

I think BWV dues were 4.2515/pt in 2004, someone correct me if I am Wrong..

Do you all think this is HIGH or low????

I think 3.9% is excellent but based on your numbers it comes out to 3.7% and even using rounded figures it comes out to 3.8%. So take your pick, but below 4% seems pretty good to me.

Less than 5% sounds good to me! :D

I have a spreadsheet from last year of the breakdown per line. When I get mine, I'll post the differences.

Well... it's about 3.9% more than the raise I'm getting next year. I guess it could be worse.

Just FYI concerning BWV dues:

Front desk-2.69 Million dollars
Housekeep-4.047 Million dollars
Maintenance-2.805 Million Dollars
Manag. Fee-1.760 Million Dollars
Utilities-1.207 Million Dollars

These are the biggest ones on the list...
Total Oper. Expenses-15.449 Million Dollars WOW!!!

That is $42,326/day to run BWV!!! WOW!!

It's roughly the same increase as last year. ($.01 more). So, at least it's not a bigger jump and pretty reasonable giving current conditions. I think all the resorts will do better once they start getting a better return on the money that is invested.

I think the question BWV and BCV folks will want to look at is what impact if any the change in allocating the Transportation cost had on both budgets. Sounds like it may have been minimal.

2004 -

Front Desk $2,414,320 +11%
Housekeeping $4,166,958 -3%
Maintenance $2,823,897 -1%
Management $1,710,749 +3%
Utilities $1,066,410 +13%
Total $15,015,652 +2.9%

Wonder why front desk is up so much? Housekeeping & maintenance down? I'd hate to see them start skimping on services.

Transportation last year was $929,258. 2005?

Transportation dues for BWV:

How do they handle front desk expenses for resorts that are a combination of DVC and Disney resorts like WLV, BCV and BWV? Just curious to see how it is split up.

Transportation is up 2.5% at the BWV this year--less than half a cent a point..any BCV owners care to post how they billed for transportation this year...after all it was only by comparing on this board that discrepencies were found....maybe this year things will break in favor of BCV?

As to how they break up the front desk--I am not sure but I do now know how they do transportation and it is likely the same...the total number of units at the Boardwalk is something like 53% BWV 47% BWI so that is how they split it...

I got mine today. They define administration and front desk as "cost of the front desk operations and resort management, including operating supplies and equipment rental. Also includes costs for operational and administrative support from the Walt Disney World Resort ("WDW")". So it's more than just the front desk.

Most of the figures have been posted, but one interesting item I noticed was insurance is down 5.5%. I suspect that rate increases from the hurricane damage have not hit yet. I work in insurance and property rates were trending down this year (countrywide).
