I am staying at BWV for the first time next month. I have done some research on room requests but I would like a renovated room. I have a pool/garden view 2 BR. Does anyone know best requests to make to get a renovated room that is fairly quite with a partial Boardwalk view and maybe a glimpse of the fireworks?? Yes, I am totally shooting for the moon! Lol! If all of that isn't possible the order of importance would be as follows:
1. Renovated
2. Fairly quiet
3. Partial boardwalk view
4. Fireworks

Thank you!!!

Quietest pool/garden would probably be overlooking the quiet pool but if there are pool/garden 2 bedrooms that aren't refurbished yet, it would be overlooking the quiet pool. I don't think there are any pool/garden 2 bedrooms with a partial boardwalk view. There are studios, but not 2 bedrooms. There could be 2 bedroom pool/garden rooms with a bit of Fantasmic fireworks visible but I don't think Illuminations would be visible from any pool/garden 2 bedroom.
I haven't seen any recent updates on the status of the refurbishment at BWV. It has been almost 3 months since we were there and there were only a couple of wings left to do. We are going 2 weeks from today so I will be interested to see if the rooms are all done. I think your best bet would be high floor, quiet pool view. The top couple of floors overlooking the quiet pool have been done for quite a while and it is possible all floors are done now.
Good luck. I hope you get a room that works for you.

there are no 2-bedrooms at BWV. you will get a 1-bedroom w/studio attached.

in your requests you only get the first one and sometimes (not always) the second one. the better fireworks view are boardwalk view - but they are not quiet. If you have a pool/garden view - that is probably what you will get - there use to be a few garden views of the courtyard with a side view of the BW - but these were popular.

Thanks for the replies! I do know that the 2 BR units there are a 1BR and studio attached. So are any of the studios with a partial Boardwalk view attached to a 1 BR? Or should I just go with high floor overlooking quiet pool? Thanks again!

None of the studios with a partial Boardwalk (Courtyard) view are attached to 1 BR's, they are stand alones.

There are no pool/garden 2BRs from which you can see the boardwalk or Epcot and its fireworks, and that includes both the studio and 1BR parts of the rooms. The only p/g rooms that have a partial view of the boardwalk and can see Epcot fireworks are those overlooking the Village Green, and those are all dedicated studios (they are not attached to any 1BRS and can be only studios).

Don't know when you are going but it is likely in the next few months or so, all the rooms will have been renovated. If going sooner, then the key request would likely be high floor because the high floors are now finished. a different request would be overlooking the Activity Lawn, which also overlooks the channel to studios and you can see Swan and Dolphin across the channel, because all the p/g rooms on all floors there are finished. Despite being called the activity lawn, there is in fact no activity in that area and it is quiet except for boat horns of boats traveling in the channel

The quiet pool area is also usually quiet including because the pool is not heavily occupied and those who occupy it are usually quite quiet themselves. In that area, lower floors are still being worked on.

From high floor, it is possible to see Studios in the distance and some Fantasmic fireworks from certain p/g rooms in the quiet pool and main pool areas but you need to be on the south side of the loop for each of those areas and there is no easy request you can make to get one of those rooms -- for main pool area, high floor and close to elevator sometimes works.

Sorry for another view question. We stayed for the first time last year in a 2BR Villa SV. I was hoping for a refurbished room, high floor, however it was more important for us to be away from the construction. We got a 1st floor overlooking the pond (towards tennis courts). It was wonderful. Completely quiet.

A view I would highly recommend. Easy walk to the quiet pool and bus stop. So here is where I go off the rails - family felt that we were disconnected from the feel of the BW (we had only stayed BWI prior) and they missed walking through the lobby. =\

Questions is, how would you request a room midway down, facing the parking lot, so you aren't on top on the Magical Express baggage area 2 BR SV?

Thank you!

^Assuming you have standard view, request room that is across from bus stop.

I agree - we love the area "across from the bus stop". If your party can handle the stairs, you'll have a reasonably convenient location for access to the buses, the lobby, parking lots, walking to both DHS & EPCOT, and if you are lucky, you can see the higher level fireworks from EPCOT from your balcony. (You'd need a higher floor and one of the rooms not blocked by a tree).

Thank you both!
