BWV 2 bedroom lockoff with kids -- security and safety

What kind of locks and safety are on the exit and patio doors of the studio side of the lockoff? Is there anything to make them kid proof? Is there some babyproofing device I can buy that doesn't permanently attach? What do other families do?

You might buy one of those hang on the door knob alarms that go off if the door knob is touched. But you would have to turn it off when you left the villa so housekeeping wouldn't set it off.

On the patio door there is a lock up high, and on the exit door there is also the security lock up high.
