I am booked for our entire stay at HoJo's but we can have the last two nites at BWPPI. I was wondering which would be your choice and why?

We will be walking to the park with DS in an adaptive stroller.

I just posted this same query about two weeks back....people mostly said the pros of BWPPI was it's location and the fact that it has Microwaves and Refridgerators. However they said the atmostphere at HOJO's was better, as was it's pool. The rooms seem to be brighter there as well. I think I'll decide closer to my planned trip (late January) and see which deals are being offered for each location.

Not sure whether the attractiveness of the staff was ever resolved. ;)

I would just stay at Hojo because having to switch hotels is a pain unless you are moving over to DLH or the Grand. Then it is worth it. The only other reason I would consider switching in the middle of the stay is if I was planning a return trip soon and really wanted to compare the two for the next trip.

Both are fine. Just keep in mind that they are older hotels and neither one is a luxury resort! HoJo is a longer walk and to me, late at night by myself, I was chicken. But the pool is so much nicer as is having a balcony especially if you get a veiw of the park and watch the fireworks. PPI has the QQ minisuites we like though with the actual sitting room area so we can spread out more than HoJo. It really is a toss up and we pick BWPPI for the walk but if we are going to do any pool time, we go with HoJo.

I do have to say the staff is fine at both but once dd got really sick in the middle of the night and HoJo went out of their way to help us and let us add on another night without any trouble over a very busy spring break so we could use the last day on our tickets. I was so so glad we were at Hojo so ds and dh could spend the time at the pool and the gameroom while dd recovered. I would not have wanted to be stuck at BWPPI for an entire day but HoJo was fine for that.

The pools are really nice at HoJos if that's important to you.

And honestly, we just went last week with 3 kids (pushing 1 in a stroller and not always the smallest one either LOL) and the walk is nothing. This was with the HEAT too (it got to high 80s). Even at the end of the day the 7-10 minutes it took was no big deal. The 5 yr old complained a little but this was at 11pm ;)

Now if you were on crutches or elderly or something then the extra 5 min might not be desirable, but for the "average" person or family I thought it was a breeeze.
I thought the walk would be longer from all the talk here but when we got there my Dh said "this is considered further away? This is nothing"

We could get BWPPI for about $25 less a nite but HoJo's just gave us a free upgrade to the tower with a preferred view of the park. I used my Disney visa and got a bunch of free stuff, backpack, lanyard and pins, some kind of seating at something and EE.

I guess I need to stop second guessing this and just go with what is. I am a worry wort by nature and wont' be ok until we arrive.

Now, how to warm up DS milk at nite???? at HoJo's. I have a very small microwave that I can pack, should I do that?

Thanks for the help!

Not sure about warming up the milk but I noticed you said us?? Is someone else joining you and DS on the trip now? That will be nice!!

We just stayed at BWPPI and plan to again. Everything about it worked for us. Clean, close, great service. We also had the mini-suite so I don't know how the regular rooms compare to other hotels.

What does HOJO's offer for their cont. breakfast?

HOJO's gave you a bunch of free stuff?? How fun!! I wonder if BWPPI does anything like that? With an AP I don't get EE so maybe I should check them out?! I love having a disney visa!

She got the free stuff for booking a package through Disney I believe, not from HOJO directly!!

They dont' have a breakfast there at all! But the reason we stay there is the kids LOVE the pool!! It is much bigger then all the crosswalk hotel pools and has an extra kid pool so I can sit in the shade while they play and I dont' have to go in every time!! It has fountains and sprayers and all that stuff! That's the reason we really like it!! Plus at $54 a night with Ent card, no one on that line can beat that!!

This was actually the debate I've been having, which one to stay at. I was really set on Hojo's because of the pool, the disney views ect.. Looked very nice. But because we'll be pushing my brother in a wheel chair, being right at the cross walk like it is at BWPPI I think might be a must. Those extra few minutes getting down to Hojo's at night just might be too much pushing a wheel chair! LOL

So I have booked at the BWPPI, I got two mini suites for a good price. The rooms like quite nice. I'm not too worried about the pool since it'll be October, I don't know how much swimming we'd want to do. I want to try Hojo's some day though, probably not on a trip that my brother comes on though!

I would stay at BWPPI because it's closer. HOJOs isn't really that fair but after a long day in the park walking back is pretty draining. It would be nice to stay at the hotel right across the street!
