I saw something on another website that said to request a room close to the lobby, because that is the only way to get in and out of the resort. Is this true??? How far is the main pool and boardwalk from the lobby area??? What about the quiet pool???

yes it is true that the only way out of the BWI is in the lobby or close to it (elevator and stiars about 100 ft down the hall from the lobby.

But there are no rooms on that level. The elevator is all the way down the hall. So, request a room near the elevator to limit the walk if you are staying in the main building.

The walk from the lobby to the boardwalk is about 1 minute.
The walk from the lobby to the quiet pool is about 5 minutes. Walk down the hall past the elevators, go outside (this is an interior courtyard with no separate exit to anywhere else) down the stairs and to your left.

Main pool is over by the BWV so anybody staying at the BWI will have a walk.

We stayed at BWV in 98. Across the hall from our room was a fire exit. We used that to come and go from the hotel to the bus stop. It was very convienent and easy to use. You had to have your room keycard to get back in. If we were going out to the boardwalk we used the elevators by the lobby since they were "on the way". Yes it was along walk to the elevators from our room, but it certainly wasn't the only way in and out. Also, for the main pool, we definitely didn't go thru the lobby. There was another set of stairs or something that we were able to use. Can't remember exactly. And we were on the BWV side of the resort.
