If I pay for this am I guaranteed a view of the Lake? If I am not guaranteed is it worth it to pay the extra? I so want to have a Lake view (the Boardwalk action), how can I come as close to possible to get this? Thanks. popcorn::

Last time I booked BW, I asked about this and the CM said waterview could be of a quiet pool or the lake. He went on to say that if you want to guarantee yourself a boardwalk view, book boardwalk.

I didn't think BWI had a boardwalk view. BWV does for DVC members.

Hmmmm, Id be interested to know. I have asked for it on 3 separate occasions and each time, the CM said it was booked, only standard was available...but maybe there just isnt a Boardwalk view?? LOL

The last CM I asked though, did say that waterview would not guarantee me a Boardwalk view... For that price, I wouldnt take the chance of getting a quiet pool view.

In June my mom had a "water view" at the villas and had a quiet pool view. We had a standard view at the Inn and had the beautiful garden which i perfered actually- it was sooooooo quiet! It was summer season and it seemed so peaceful- not crowded at all!

either way at the Boardwalk you can't lose IMO!:thumbsup2

I haven't stayed at the BWI before, but, in planning for our upcoming trip, I was told that the only way to guarrantee a boardwalk view is to book a deluxe room on the club floor. While the website says these rooms can have a garden, water, or boardwalk view, the experts in the BWI thread assure me that all of the deluxe rooms (10 or 12 total) have a boardwalk view.

Good to know! Thanks for sharing

Yes, the deluxe rooms guarantee a boardwalk view. :)

I booked a water view at BWI and got a courtyard view. Nice view of Illuminations, NO water. Not even a puddle.

I tried to resolve it with Disney (long story), but it never happened. Never got my money back.

For the most part I don't talk about it on the DIS, but I couldn't resist mentioning it in this thread. :)

On the flip side, I have booked garden views and been upgraded to water views on a number of occasions, so I have forgiven them. Pretty much. Not entirely.

When booking your room ask for a BW view. The Villas are not the only ones with this view. The Inn side has many of them. I love having a BW view , but I have had the garden view also. Booking a deluxe room on the club level does guarentee a BW view, but you can also get one without Club Level. If it is that important to you, then pay the extra for a BW view. You will not regret the extra money spent.

I have to ask, why didnt you continue to press the issue? Seems like if you could prove that you were paying for a waterview room and no water was in site, the problem would be easy to solve. :confused3

Unless of course Disney's answer was that the puddle must have dried up, but rain was on the way. :rolleyes1

Im relieved to know that you dont have to pay for club level to book a view of the boardwalk. I have asked several times now, but I have yet to find availability for a BW room on the inn side.

I am surprised you haven't been able to book this view. the rooms are above Spoodles, Flying Fish, ESPN Club and the Bakery. I love having a room above the bakery. The smells are wonderful. These rooms may go fast, but I have booked them at different times. Good luck to you!:cool1:
