I'm sure this is on this board somewhere but I searched and couldn't find anything....so my apologizes! Can anyone recommend the best way to get from BW to Boma for dinner? There are 8 of us including 2 one year olds who won't have car seats so can't do a cab. I was guessing maybe bus from Epcot to AKL? We really wanted to try for dinner but getting there might make it too much work with the babies. TIA:confused3

I would do a boat or walk to HS and then a bus to AK or a bus to AK and then a bus to AKL for the trip to AKL.

For the return - it depends on what parks are open but a bus to HS and then walk or boat back to BW or a bus to AK and then a bus to BW or if it is very late then a bus to DTD and then a bus back to the BW.

Alternately I would probably use WDW transportation to the dinner and then have a bellman request a cab with two car seats for the return even though it could cost you some $$..

Simplest would be bus from BW to Ak, then bus from Ak to AKL. However, that can really be difficult depending on park closing times and your reservation time.

In your situation, I would cancel that and eat somewhere more convenient.

My first recommendation would have been a taxi.

With 8 people they would need 2 taxis.

I would plan it for a day you'll be at AK, that way you can just go there directly from the park.

Like others, I would normally recommend taking a taxi. Otherwise, I would also recommend taking the boat to DHS and then take the bus from DHS to AKL. You could also walk to DHS (about a mile).

Otherwise, you could try asking bell services to call a taxi for you that has a car seat. Still, it might take a while for the taxi to arrive.

For the return trip, it depends on what park is still open. I'd take the bus from AKL to whatever park is open and then another bus from that park to BW.

Make it on a day you are in a park then take the bus from that park to AK..then back to DTD and BW on the way back..

Actually, it's easy to get to AKL from any of the parks. Just catch a bus from the front of whichever park you're visiting that day directly to AKL. (If you go back to BW first, it gets more complicated and time-consuming.)

I would allow about an hour. You probably won't need that much time, but having some extra time at AKL is not a problem. There's so much to see inside and outside. In fact, you might want to leave your park earlier, especially if you go to AKL's animal overlooks while there's daylight.

Going back to BW after dinner will officially require a transfer at an open park or at DTD. There are buses to DTD until well after midnight.

However...

Be sure to tell every arriving bus where you want to go and that you're a party of 8. The driver may be able to drop you at BW on the the way to DTD or wherever the driver is headed.

I now prefer it at night. At night they have night-vision goggles where you can watch the animals.
