Do the rooms for Boardwalk Concierge have water views or would I have to specify a water view room instead of concierge?

Also from the BW, can you see any of the fireworks from EPCOT?

Trying to decide whether to stay at BW or Poly for a May 04 trip.

Thanks!
Terri

The Boardwalk Deluxe concierge rooms are all waterview. You have an awesome view of Illuminations from the lounge balcony. IMHO there is no better place than the concierge at the Boarwalk. I will be returning there in March. You could not make a better choice!:D

If you have a BW or waterview (deluxe concierge) you won't be able to see the fireworks. If you go with a gardenview (regular concierge) you could be able to see fireworks. Decide what is the most important to you, if you book regular concierge you could put in a request for either, and both are awesome!

Are you comparing both concierge services or exactly what were you going to book if you went with the Polynesian?

Not really comparing the two. Never stayed concierge at either resort. I have stayed in a reg. room at Poly and love the resort. Being able to watch the fireworks from our room is a big plus.

I'll be taking my Mom and possibly an aunt. They won't do the parks and since I'm there for a race, won't be taking major time in the parks either. However, I wanted to treat them to a nice surprise by staying concierge. As much as I love the Poly (and don't mind staying there), I think BW would at least give them something to do (walking on the BW) while I'm tied up with race duties.

Here's another question:
If I book a concierge room and then later want to change ressie to a reg. room, can I downgrade like that without a problem.
Mom has some health problems and may decide not to go if she's not feeling up to it. I won't really need concierge room for the little time I'll spend in it.
Thanks again for your help.
Terri

It sounds like you are doing the marathon in Jan., so it should be slow enough to switch your res. I don't know how far in advance you would need to do it.

We took my MIL and her SIL last year and the year before that and they loved the lounge. The CM's & Jackie are so very nice, they spent a little time every afternoon in there relaxing and chatting. I agree that they would probably really enjoy the BWI.:D

Actually, I'm going to do the 1/2 Ironman on May 23rd, so I'm sure it'll be more crowded then than in January. The event will take place around Fort Wilderness. Now I just have to get my butt in gear to get ready for it.
