BW Bakery Blasphemy: UPDATED TR finished with picture overload -THE END!!!!!

Ok....I'll bite. Rice, Fried Plantain, Cod Fritters?.....but I have no clue what that stuff in the middle is!!:confused3 :)

Thanks for the TR!!:thumbsup2

OMG. Who are you? Are you of Jamaican ancestry? :rotfl2: (I first said black but that's ignorant - you could be black from a myriad of backgrounds/including many many many generation Canadian -and know nada about Jamaican food or white or Asian AND Jamaican background and know all. :). Or simply eat it and know. These are the things that wake me up and bring me editing. Laughing. Yes it hurts to be in my head.

Good work thebigman65! :thumbsup2

Fried Plantain. Check mark. Cod. Check mark. Oh wait you have no idea about the stuff in the middle - you're not Jamaican. :rotfl2:

No cod fritters. OMG - I'm going to go yell that there were no fritters. Oh how I love fritters.

The middle is ackee (the one that looks like eggs everyone) and salt fish (cod).

Fried dumplings. Boiled dumplings. Food (which is a word for yellow yams - Jamaican sweet potato - not the orange one)

HEAVEN. Heaven.

Can you tell I LOVE food? :rotfl2:

Yes thrilled for her. :thumbsup2

Jean not so much. Not really the baby just the ongoing marriage. Jean has been waiting for her to come out as a lesbian for years.

Oh well. :rotfl2: popcorn::

I know, but I don't think she's going to! Sad, but true.

NO SUNSCREEN!!!! :rotfl2:

Sorry it's my life as a pink girl - you just don't understand.

We were at WDW from 12/19-12/22, and I LOVED not having to worry about sunscreen. or carrying upteen bottles of water. or constantly sweating. Glad you had fun :thumbsup2

Okay - where was I?

Somewhere between dumplings and a fruit plate.

So let's go with eating AGAIN. :rotfl2:

Anyone who read my last TR knows this - I don't do dining plans. I had the first year of FD even though I had DVC. And I retried it again last trip five years after - QSDP.

And I came up with this lovely phrase - "STONED ON CUPCAKES".

And I got oranges and grapes and apples and shared some meals with relatives popcorn::

But nothing helped.

This trip I thought "Lisa give it another try. If you're left with extra credits you can always get many BW Bakery Fruit Plates!!!!!!"

And that was that. Fruit Plates sent me over into  and :woohoo: and :dance3:

Yes I know. :sad2: You know. :sad2: The management at BW bakery knows :sad2: how long that happy moment lasted.

But nothing changed for me. I tried. I did. The food was just too much. TOO FOOD FOCUSED. I eat. I love eating. I'm not small. I overeat at times. I did apples. I did oranges. I did water.

Here is the feeling in a nutshell:

This week I went to order Swiss Chalet (yes Canadians ACTUALLY have Canadian owned franchises :rotfl2: - shocking even to us) and I scrolled down and saw a picture of a cheesecake and I felt instantly sick to my stomach and I LOVE CHEESECAKE. :goodvibes

That was the effect for me.

Plus the less I eat from Disney the better. The more I eat from groceries the better. TMI but I don't think Disney is great at food handling practices.

But I did love the prepay. Now I just have to trick myself in the future. Prepay on the room key or a Disney gift card and pay OOP. My stomach needs that.

But I do have good news!
Fine news!

The Disney CMs did a great job. I had two segments at BW. One QSDP. One DXDP (spread over three days - two meals a day) and nada at AKV.

First card said "DVC multiple" (CMs at dining locations were perplexed at times but it was okay)

Second card said "DVC DLX" (or some kind of acronym)

Third card said "DVC room only".

SO everything was smooth. No horror stories. Debbie at check in said in a very authoratative voice "YOU WILL NOT BE MOVING" and we didn't. I adore confident CMs.

SO YEAH - great news for us all.

And in fact - I really think it went smoothly partly because of a great MS manager. When I decided it would be cost efficient to take a chance on the muliple DDPs and have some sitdowns by adding the DXDP to Christmas Eve/Christmas Day and therefore getting Boxing Day too - well I know she fixed it perfectly. I checked after we were off at that new reservation site.

Isn't it lovely to have some great MS/CM news with all the negative stays lately?

It is.

Parre balls. Hmmm. :confused3 Is something flying over my head right now?

Oh probably. :rotfl2: I AM SLOW.

Loved the keep at er. It helped. :goodvibes

I know, but I don't think she's going to! Sad, but true.

Liz - you bumped our trip.

I saw. And I stared. And I was out of body for a moment.

Like "huh?". Where did that come from? My head hurts. And the I went, "O----H!!!".

I LOVED the picture of you and Jean. Because folks Jean and Liz were like two kindred spirits. :lovestruc

And speaking of kindred spirits......

Sarahk0204 - thanks. :goodvibes Isn't that the best?

Weather was ALL OVER the place. Mostly late 60s. Two days in the mid
70s - I COULD WEAR MY DRESS. and my two last days were in the 50s. :scared1:

I did have fun. I'm glad to hear you saw the lovely in the temperatures as well.

Thanks for posting. :goodvibes

So I'm coming Fruit Plate - I'm coming.

My plate was waitng as was the NFL for Jean. Remember two Sundays and two Mondays in our holiday. :sad2:

gads. FOUR days of football on your vacation?:scared1:

I'm sorry Lisa. They don't have them anymore.

Simply devestating! Who made that decision? They should be fired.

We had a great day and I was all dressed and ready at the door just waiting to for our eleven o' clock PM :rotfl2: bus to the MK.

My dreams have come true. The MK is open to 3 AM.

:yay::yay::yay::yay::yay:

So much fun. Sorry to hear about the camera battery- sounds like something *I* would do ;)

Reference 1st page, pictures of the snow in Canada

Wow! You guys have real houses up there and not just log cabins :)

I kid, I kid...

Y-ASK

Scary, I think I can hear you in my head as I read. And it is such a good read!

It is my dream one day to be in MK at 3 am. I managed a 1 am visit last trip and you are so right about how lovely and magical they are!

I'm with you on the issue of parades. Although I do love the MSEP 'cause I'm quirky like that.

Nancy, another princess runner, is one of those people THAT IS SO SMART - I don't know if I'm allowed to share her major - but smart smart.

But then the simple things. :rotfl2: :lmao::rotfl:

Don't get me started on how kindergartens can do their puzzles much faster than me. :lmao:

Football - Nancy - oh no - not four days - four days plus one. The snow storm for the Eagles. TUESDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL!!!!!!!!!:scared1:

So funny. SO funny. Thanks. :goodvibes

bbangel????? Book club???? Yes? Ignore me if you have no idea what I'm talking about. :rotfl2:

I had two chances to do 3 AM. The 20th and the 26th. Let's just say the
26th was - welll - BEYOND COLD. BEYOND. It was quite the day in the DAY TIME. ;)

I didn't do it. But the 20th was SO LOVELY and changed how relaxed I was getting things in. So lovely. Daydreaming.......

Totally! I was just gushing about the two of you and showing N the picture last night! No more NYC visits without seeing me. Promise!

Ummm, no. bb is baseball and I'm an Angels fan. I know it is a let down but I had brain freeze when the form wanted a user name :lmao:

I could see how bone chilling cold could put the chill on the magic. :rotfl2: Good thing you took your first shot at it.

So before we left I started to read stories of HUGE crowds, of closing parks, of following touring plans and of getting frustrated. I read but I really didn't respect because I thought "oh well" or "whatever".

And at first I was stubborn. Very. "I'm not going to change. I'm going to do the same old - same old. Wake up late. Go whereever. Blah. Blah. Blah.

And then somewhere along the line I caught myself saying, "maybe you're being TOO stubborn". :goodvibes A little rumbling in my head. Hmmm, maybe I should shut up and listen. And I gave in to some hints from ghosts of Christmas trips. Started to listen to the "all knowing" the ones who had walked before me. That is maturity people. Hard at times. ;)

I had never done Christmas.

So I warned Jean.

She wasn't happy.

But I slowly warned her of the ways of the wicked ;) - ROPE DROPS.

Rope drops? Really? I'm going to go from years of barely making breakfast, rocking in chairs on porches, drinking, napping, swimming to rope drops. Really?

I did. She did. And we survived it. In fact, I created a monster for a while.

We did two. :rotfl2:

And both were memorable.

Honestly, beyond memorable. I found them downright FASCINATING.

In fact, I would thoroughly enjoy "THE PSYCHOLOGY OF THE ROPE DROPPERS 101". Thoroughly. I'm not joking. :rotfl::lmao::rotfl:

You see Jean is fast. I'm not as quick as her. So the first one we went for TOY STORY MANIA fast passes to use at night. (Yes I'm aware you should go to rope drops to actually stay and do some rides - not just to grab one FP for the night and call it a day. popcorn::.

So when we got in she took off in the area I pointed to her and I JUST SAT. :rotfl2:

Too bad they don't have rocking chairs there for me.

And no it wasn't boring. It was a very fascinating half an hour. VERY.

Everyone is SO different in their ways and strategies.

Some rope droppers RUN like the wind.

Some RDers get SO CONFUSED.

Some RDers go ahead and forget their families.

Some RDers argue and shout. :lmao: ARGUE. AT 7 AM.

Some RDers spin their maps until their heads spin.

Some RDers talk about strategy for so long that I worry for them getting ANY FPs.

And some RDers don't really understand why they came for the rope drop.

Why I've been avoiding such fascinating fun for so long is beyond me.

FUN!

She did it. She got us the golden ticket. Toy Story Mania. I haven't been. Don't make me go back to no parks story. AND I am beyond competitive.

I OWN BUZZ. Yes, I said OWN.

Four years ago I told these boys - nephews - "you're going down" on Buzz. "Hard". For weeks before we left.

100_7861.jpg

Such bravado. Such attitude. GOING DOWN boys. And I did it. Took all three boys down. Big time. Killed them. And never let them forget it. So I'm not quietly competitive. So I was feeling Toy Story Mania.

So later that night we walked past hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of 120 minute :scared1: waiting people. WALKED RIGHT INTO THE CAR!!!!!!!!!!! There was no equalizing FP/regular people cut off near the end that night. WALKED RIGHT ONTO THE CAR. I was in shock. And so excited.

AND LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!! BEYOND LOVED IT andIlost. popcorn:: On the last screen.

Up next if I actually follow my own words: I've created a FP TSM monster!!!!

Ummm, no. bb is baseball and I'm an Angels fan. I know it is a let down but I had brain freeze when the form wanted a user name :lmao:

I could see how bone chilling cold could put the chill on the magic. :rotfl2: Good thing you took your first shot at it.

No. No. No. :rotfl2: I'm so confusing.

I meant - your name is ringing in my ear? From the DIS past. Where did we cross paths? Did you not partake in a CB DIS book club that I started about three - four years ago? It started off strong but died a quick death. It's bugging me where I know you from. And I was thinking out loud.

If I'm wrong - maybe I just was jealous of your home!!!! And that's why.

It's better than lisaviolet - who had the brain freeze?

Yeah the first shot made it all warm and fuzzy. :rotfl2:

Totally! I was just gushing about the two of you and showing N the picture last night! No more NYC visits without seeing me. Promise!

Okay. Oh no for you. We might just show up one day. No more calls in advance from the Brooklyn Bridge. :rotfl2:

I'm sure we're all tired of my rambling by now. I know I am. So these days just before Christmas - lived at the BW/BC/Epcot/MGM (HS bugs me still). Isn't it lovely to stay at BW/BC and feel like you OWN the area so to speak. That came off so cocky - it's late. I'm sure you get what I'm trying to say.

So here are some pictures to talk for me. What a relief! :goodvibes
