Yes it's a trip report.
Orginally titled:
NO MORE BW bakery fruit plates, rope drops and other blasphemous occurrences.
But I couln't fit in updates.
Okay, hmmm. Let's start at the very beginning. A very good place to start.
Do re mi to you too. It's late people and I'm suffering from severe writer's block.
Now I'm singing.
Are you?
The trip. My trip. Our trip. The big trip. The ten day extravaganza. The PLANNED trip.
You see I don't plan. I have zero interest in planning. I enjoy all your planning stories - well sort of
. I smile at the thread up and ready for December 2011 but I don't have that gene. (Actually my first thought was WTHeck? and then I went "oh yeah those booking windows). No gene here and I'm not sad about it.
. So this trip. My Lord. Partially booked at the eleventh month plus one second window. Yes - see the title - falls under "other blasphemous occurrences".
Resort booked at that early insane date. Well we stayed mostly - let me give you a small hint and see if you're on your toes -
I have to put in a ton of pictures because I'm deathly afraid I have very little to tell you. You see it was just the two of us - without family or friends who often have provided such interesting material in past TRs.
My parents - for example - who totally provide for an interesting read. Good for them. You know DVCers worst nightmare. They are not members. Post #43 here. Weird 43 was our family home. Like you care.
I really need to stop writing TRs late at night.

Okay, this trip.
Home. Trip is approaching.
You see we had green, green, green everywhere not a pinch of the white stuff - it was already December. And then a snowflake fell from the sky. And then another. And another. And then for I don't know - 72 FRIGGIN' HOURS STRAIGHT fifty million snowflakes fell from the sky and all hell broke loose.
Before I share this winter wonderland photos - all American readers MUST say this -
As an American
I must go grab a map
And I must see that
The province - yes province
- of Ontario
Is like a sneaky fish
That dips down lower than many many states
Meaning I am south of some US states
Meaning that not all of Canada is colder
Than let's say Minnesota or North Dakota or Maine
And that you will not try
To bring your skis across the border
In July
Dreaming of a good summer run.
Okay? Okay?
Okay, you promised. This was not the norm. Toronto hardly gets snow at all - it's not Buffalo.
But I moved last year to a ski resort town that actually gets some - of course.
Okay, shutting up now......
Ready?
Pretty, eh?
Well let me tell you it was not so pretty when it started to create havoc days before we were to leave. I think it was the Monday of that week - the only highway out was closed in spots. Couldn't even get out. Major stress - thinking will we unable to make it. Could we? Such suspense.
Yes, I do realize you know the answer.
Here are some pretty shots of my beloved BWV to hold you over...
And because I acually found out - almost two years later
- that my camera could do B and W. Such joy.
