John, the Great Adventure things is soooooooo funny. When I say Great Adventure to my students, they look at me like I'm nuts. It has been happening for a good 5 years now. I always wonder if they are living under a rock until I remember that the kids call it "Six Flags." It will always be Great Adventure to me, too. I live in Marlton. We were just at the Jackson outlets over spring break! Thanks for the congrats on quitting smoking!

Welcome to our group Colleen!! :grouphug:

Sorry, I haven't posted for two weeks Buzzies! I went out of town last Friday. My DH came home with an IPod shuffle last Thursday, and we were busy loading it before I left town. So, no time to post.

My daughter and I went on a "girls only" trip to meet my mom, sisters, SIL, and nieces. So didn't have time to post my totals. Now, I didn't do very well this week due to the fact that a GOOSE smashed into my windshield when I was almost to my destination on Friday. :scared1: I had to stick around in the small town with just me and DD until Monday for the guys to come fix it. Here is a link to my trip, if your bored and have nothing else to do and want to read about it. ;) http://disboards.com/showpost.php?p=24385827&postcount=2646

So, not much exercising happened this week. :sad2:

But here are the totals:

3/28 - 4/3:

Miles: 19.78

Minutes: 4 hours 24 min.

4/4 - 4/10: (Sorry it is so lame :guilty: )

Miles:
4

Minutes: 1 hr. 33 minutes

Hi Team!

Here are my totals:

340 minutes
19.141 miles

To Infinity and Beyond!!!

Just when you thought you had heard them all !!!! :flower3: As we say here in SC, "Bless your heart Allie".

Thanks Mike. And all this happened after I had to take DS to the Dr. (he had a sty), got a screw in my tire and had to get it patched before heading out for my trip. :headache: Although, I am counting my blessings. We could have gotten into a wreck and totaled the car. In the big scheme of things, it was a minor inconvenience. Plus, DD got to miss school, and they were having standardized testing. She was doing the "happy dance"! :yay:

BTW, how did your treatment go this week? You had another one didn't you?

Hello fellow Buzzers.

Here are my stats for the week

Miles 61.00
Time 4:35 minutes

Yep. It went real well. Well as good as chemo can go. Took it Tuesday and back up and running (not literally) Wednesday. Finished until July now. :yay: Maintenance............maintenance.................

Anyway most of my time this week was inside/machine and that's kinda tough when the weather is almost 'run' perfect.

Here's the totals:

Miles-20.1
Time 4 hours 20 minutes

I really admire your attitude towards this whole thing! You are amazing!

Here's my week:
time:357 min

Have a great weekend everyone! I'm off today to take 7 Junior girlscouts to Nebraska to celebrate the end of juniors. We decided to stay in a cabin this time. Thank goodness because they are forecasting snow and rain mix. YUCK! Come on SPRING!!!

TTFN,Jill

Welcome Colleen! :welcome: Congratulations on quitting smoking!! I was thinking the other day (when I heard a commercial) about how hard it must be to do that. I equate my weight issues to a food addiction and thought how much harder itwould be if there were actually chemicals in the food that I was addicted to and had to overcome. I know how hard it is for me to address my "addiction" so I give you HUGE amounts of credit and many, many hugs!

MickeyT-- so glad to hear the chemo went well. Glad you get a break now! :goodvibes

I made it to the gym 5 days out of seven this week (and already started this one off ahead of the game with a 6 am arrival at the gym this morning! :yay: ).

For all you Jersey'ans -- I am a former Jersey girl, having grown up in Woodbury and I was also at Great Adventure on opening day (I remember it sadly to some extent because we arrived home to find my kitty had passed away), but we have been going ever since. I am now in Delaware, less than an hour away.

My totals for the week:
36.47 miles
5 hours 56 minutes

BTW, I spoke with our fearless leader last night (Hi, Kathy! :lovestruc ) who is absolutely swamped at work and rehearsals for 2 productions. We miss you, Kathy! And we can't wait until you can come back and hang out more frequently with the Buzzies! :grouphug:

Oh, one last thing -- wouldn't it be fun to plan a mini-Buzzie meet if there are already 5 or 6 of us within an hour of the Jackson outlets/GA?

John & Karen -- How are DS and DFDIL doing? What is the due date for your first Grandbaby?

Welcome Colleen! I'm not sure if you've seen how we post our numbers, but we do our weeks from Friday through Thursday. Just post your numbers here and I'll add them to our team totals.

Our team Captain is Valentine/Kathy although I haven't seen her post in a while. Life does get busy sometimes. WDWFAN9/Pat is our other Co-Captain along with myself, but everyone will try and help you out if you ever have any questions.

OK as for my week I did 27.43 Miles and did two days of strength training as well.

I'm still in need of numbers from Kathy for the last four weeks including this week, Mini Girl for the last three and Karen from Last week. I hope you guys are alright. I'll shoot a PM to them soon.

Keep up the great work team. We are doing a great job! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Hi there, everyone, and welcome, Coleen!
this week:
13 miles
2 hours

I added bicycling this week since I signed up for my first triathlon:scared:

Hi all!!

My time this week is 167 min, 9.1 mi.

I have my first 5K this weekend. I will be walking the whole thing because I am still having problems with tight calves/shin splints. I was doing pretty well but then I pushed myself before I was ready and made it worst:headache: I am going to force myself in the next couple of weeks to stay off of the treamill/track. My plan is to start the aqua aerobics and do the elliptical/bike until I have no pain.

Have a great week!!

Yay, team!!:yay: :yay:

Welcome, Colleen!! As a former educator, all I can say is..WOW!! You have your plate FULL!! But this is a great place for accountability, and socializing, and whining, and bragging.....:lmao:

For me-
Miles:13.88
Minutes: 268

Everyone is doing so well!! Keep it going, because in the end, YOU are the winner!! :thumbsup2 Anne

Between the weather and getting sick again, I managed to rack up another ZERO for this week. We're supposed to hit near 70 degrees this weekend, though, so I WILL get some time in for next week.

I have never felt so welcome anywhere in my life! What a fun group of people!

This week:

Miles 9.6
Time 146 minutes
