I wasn't fooling about the shape of Buzz. Of course, if you happen to get one of the cars with a good gun, you will not notice it. But, I rode it 4 times in a row in March 2002 and 3 times the guns were not working correctly. When you DO happen to get one of the bad guns, you will still get some points because the computer gives you a few points every few shots you make - whether or not the gun is aimed correctly (or at anything at all.) But, if you have one of the bad guns, that is ALL the points you will get. You can tell if you have a bad gun because you will not see the red light as you aim the gun - even at the wall right in front of you. I wrote to Disney about it and they said that the information would be forwarded to the proper person.
Oh, and Zurg, even if you didn't notice the great number of guns being out of order, surely you noticed all the peeling paint on the cars. This is a disgrace to Disney to let a ride run down so much.
 
We do agree that the condition of the cars are worn....but I would expect that the management never anticipated the popluarity of the ride and the volume of use.....not to say that they shouldn't have.....I do hope that the cars are refurbished soon....but until they do WE will continue to ride.......I'm addicted.....:)

I have to say, I never noticed the condition of the car. But the broken guns explains my lousy score...yeah, that's it!:p

And I'm not proud, I'll take pity points!
 
I would encourage any of you who have noticed the problem to send an email to Disney about it. Hey, if people still ride it even with worn out cars and malfunctioning guns without complaint, why should Disney invest the time and money to correct the problem? (especially with their current profit problem.)
By the way, if any of you have been there SINCE March and noticed an improvement, let me know. After all, Disney DID promise to send the complaint to the proper department. Maybe they have addressed the problem. I wouldn't know, since I have not been there in 5 months.
