Didn't see this posted yet so thought I'd be the bearer of bad news. I just read on Deb's site that Buzz will be closed for rehab from February 9 - 14.

I'm kind of bummed because we plan on doing MMH (EE) on the 13th and Buzz has traditionally been our first ride of our trips. Thank goodness we'll be back in MK on the 16th so we at least get to ride it.

My kids love that attraction, actually so do I. After finding out where the bonus point targets are we always get in the 8 hundred thousand point range. My son is determined to get 1 million - if thats possible.

There are certain targets that you have to hit. They give you something like 50 thousand points each hit

Oh Boy, that means we have to get to the MK on the 8th to ride it....we'll do!!

SAY IT AIN'T SO!!!!!!!!!  :(

We'll be at MK on 2/14, and we haven't been to WDW since 1998 so we've never ridden Buzz. Buzz and Test Track were the two rides I was looking forward to most.

Barb.. if you're going to be there on the 14th, you should be ok, since the rehab is schedule from the 8th to the 14th :)

This ride really needs the rehab, so I am glad they are doing it. I could not believe the condition of this ride the last 2 trips we have taken over the last 2 years!

Sorry some of you may miss it though!

If you hold the trigger down the whole time you get lots of points. I thought the ride was in need of a rehab in Nov. 01, our last trip!

It is SORELY needing a rehab!

One of the bonus targets is in the first room, on the big robot on the left hand side (left if you're facing front when you enter) After you pass him, turn around. On the back side of his hands is another target that will get you 100,000.

1 million isn't possible. The scoring display is only capable of holding 6 digits. Unless it's like a speedometer and clicks back over to 0! :) I think 999,999 is the highest you can get.

Thanks MadMadamMim. I hope that does mean that they'll be done by the 14th. If so, I better get a FP right away!

We will be there the 6-9, so we'll have a few days!! I have to say, though, that ride DEFINITELY needs rehab!!!

About the million points, I had read something on the hiddenmickeys.org site...that you pass through one door that is circular on the ride. After you pass through it, turn the car around and imagine that the door is the center, lower circle of a Mickey head...and aim for the right ear (there is a white "dot" there to guide you, supposedly) - a hit will earn you a million points. Is this true??

Thank goodness! That ride really does need some rehab! I am sorry for those who won't get to ride it, though!:(

I am seeing two different rehab start dates. If it starts on the 9, that's great, because we are scheduled for MK on the 8th. If not, we fly in on the 7th and will have to use up one of ourParkhopper days just to get in that park and ride it!! My DD was looking forward to it!!!! Another question, how long will it take to go from MK to MGM so we can do Fantasmic that evening?

Annette

When we were there over New Year's, I mentioned to my DH that many of the cars were broken and that it was also quite dirty. I'm glad they are doing this now before it got really bad.

999,999 is the max. There are some scoring tips in the Parks section of Badshoe.com

You can get 1,000,000 if you max out then start shooting with the second laser.....

Don't tell zurg I'm bragging he actually has almost maxed on both lasers...within about 100,000.......

Glad to hear it will be rehabbed. We were just there a couple of weeks ago, waiting in what was supposed to be a 15 minute line, and everyone coming out was saying "it's not working right"....then they then closed it down saying they didn't know when they would have it back up. We looked about 90 minutes later and it was still down :(

The condition of Buzz was a letdown during our last visit. A rehab is long overdue.

While I'm sorry some of you will miss out on Buzz, I wholeheartedly agree that a rehab is needed. It's a great ride - one of our favorites and it'll be nice to have it in good shape again.

I'd also hope they'll clean up the viewing window that's in the TTA ride so when you ride through it's actually possible to see the people on the Buzz ride, without looking through a foggy, gross window.

Just MHO.
