Buzz Lightyear Rehab???

I thought I heard that the blasters are no longer stationary on the ride vehicle. Is this true?

What do you mean stationary? They always rotated and still do as of Friday...

I think she means whether they can be removed from their place. This was done when the attraction was intro'ed at DL but as far as I know not done at WDW.

Thank you snowy76. :rolleyes2 I've heard that they're going to make it like the DL ride where the blasters can be picked up off of the ride vehicle.

Don't think anything changed - fresh paint, some new blasters, etc.

Not even THAT...

When the ride opened a full week AHEAD of the announced re-opening date, most of the ride-vehicles were NOTnewly-painted, but were still chipped, scratched and dirty.

There WERE lots of "new" blasters mixed in with the old ones (new ones were a brighter color than the old ones).

The blasters are all still affixed to the cars.

I figure that since this was about the same time the Pixar aquisition was announced, Disney brass decided to save the money on an expensive new PAINT-JOB for Buzz, to help make up some of the 7.4 BILLION DOLLARS that was paid to Steve Jobs for his animation company. ;)

I for one, am thankful it opened early because I've never been on it, either has my family. But for a rehap, we thought some areas looked kind of shabby. My husband got a bad lazer a couple of times (or so he says). Maybe he's just mad I beat him every time, lol. Still a fun ride. We rode it 7 times one day. Could get right back on after we got off.
