Buzz Lightyear Questions

I'm wondering a few things about this ride.

First, is it worth it to do? Is it actually fun for an adult? I do love video games.

Next, I've had problems with vertigo. I don't want to really spin. Can I control the spinning fully? Is it really easy to do?

Do the ride cars stay level the entire time? or is there any up and down or going uphill or downhill?

Is there any jerkiness or bumpiness to the ride?

Thanks!

It's fine. You choose whether or not to spin- you have full control over it. It isn't bumpy or jerky at all. I believe there is no up or down, but I'm not sure. There aren't dips or anything, I'm sure of that.

It's a really fun ride. If you like video games, it would be great for you.

I like it, DH likes it and my DD and her fiancee like it. We brought some relatives and friends with us on our last trip in March and everyone that was with is liked it (mostly adults)
There is actually a video of the ride on the wdwinfo part of the DIS site. (I could not get the RealVidio version to load though).

The parts in the video that look like the car is spinning quickly is either the driver turning it or just panning with the video camera.
The driver is in control of the spinning. You can spin as much (or as little) as you want. And you can turn very slow or fast - you may want to turn a little to be able to hit some of the targets better.

There is a VERY slight uphill near the end (in the part of the video where it shows the red light in front of you). It's VERY slight.
Is there any jerkiness or bumpiness to the ride?
No, it's very gentle and slow.

I HATE to spin. I really dislike going down hill.

I rode Buzz 5 times in one day. It is great fun. Yes, I am an adult. I would get on right now, if I were there.

It is a really smooth and easy going ride.

I have dizziness problems and found I did fine on Buzz if I was the one controlling the spinning. I had a little trouble when my ds did the spinning!
The four of us loved the DL Buzz ride (haven't been on the WDW Buzz yet), and only one of us was a kid!

My whole family LOVES the Buzz ride. Be careful though, it's addictive.

Buzz Lightyear ride is definately worth it!! It is fun not for just the little ones, but for everyone!! You can control the spinning - and not even spin at all if you don't want to. Also, there are no bumps or jerking (unless you make a jerk by stopping the spinning really fast). Also - if you are wanting to beat your family score wise, there is a trick (I couldn't find it, but my brother-in-law did). When you enter the 2nd room, turn your car around and look for the "Z"s (that is what you are trying to hit to make points) that are up high. Those are supposed to be worth the most points - and he did beat me and my sister even when we combined our scores against his. (you might what to keep this a secret so you can win... :ssst: ) Good luck!!

OK, I'll admit it, too. I'm an adult and I HATE spinning. I don't even like video games very much :confused3 ...but I went on Buzz Lightyear several times in a row. In Sept this isn't too hard, the line is short.

You only need to turn enough to shoot your red dot on the "Z"s. If you get dizzy, just keep your car turned forward and watch everyone else shoot at the "Z"s. :teeth:

This is a great ride, especially if you like B.L. My 10 yo with autism loves Toy Story and loved this ride. I showed him how to make the car move and he loved moving the car back and forth. I don't like spinning, but seeing how much fun he was having I would have put up with it!! Lori

Hi all - i just wanted to let you know that i did go on this ride and totally enjoyed it. It was physically easy and really fun. There wasn't much I could do at MK but I sure enjoyed this! I went on twice and would have gone again but my DH had had his fill. Thanks for the help!
