We're leaving on Wednesday for our Land/Sea. Since we're using DCL transfers we won't have a rental car so we won't make our usual stop at the store to buy water and snacks. I know I've read that people have bought water onboard, but many bottles do you have to purchase? Can you just buy half of a case? We're only on the Wonder for four nights so I don't need to buy too many bottles.

Thanks!!

Unless there is a reason that you want bottled water, the tap water on the ship is totally drinkable and tastes good. Since you are at the parks first, if you only want a little...you can buy 6 or 12 bottles at the Marketplace area of your resort (each resort has a little shopping area that includes food products) and take it in your luggage. I've never seen a price for 1/2 a case on board the Magic....no experience with the Wonder.

We saw people buying cases of Avian (sp) on the Magic. There was empty boxes everywhere in the hallways the closer we got to the end of the week. I agree with the OP. The water on the ship tastes fine.

I did buy a case of the water when five of us were on the Magic for a week.

Some of my family are water sensitive - - unfamilar water causes upset stomach and lower digestive track unpleasantness. Learned over time that drinking only bottled water when traveling seems to help eliminate or mostly eliminate the trouble. Also it is easier to make sure that every one is drinking enough water when you have the bottles to use up.

In May I am going with other extended family for the 4 day Wonder and the plan is to buy one case and then distribute it among the three family groups.

we are all picky about our water, we are doing a 4 day and i plan on bringing a case of 24 with us, that might not be enough, but i heard the cases on board are like 20 -30 bucks which is insane, and overpriced

We always filter our waster here at home because of the chlorine taste but the water from the taps and drinks station was fine. Preferred from taps as it is always too cold for me when chilled.

would not bother taking or buying bottled water.

Does anybody take a bottle of water with them on a excursion? I am fine with tap water on the ship but am concerned about when getting off of the ship. Can you order a bottle or two at a time from room service? How much would that be?

Why not just take one of thos sports type bottles and refill before leaving the ship for shore excursions.

We bought a half case of water on our 4 night cruise in February. They offered it to us as we were boarding. We just gave them our stateroom number and we had the water within a couple of hours. We had our 12 month old DD with us and I just felt better about her drinking bottled water than the tap even though the rest of us drank the tap and were fine. It is pricy but you pay for the convenience...we had enough luggage without worrying about lugging around a case of water.

In March, the 24 pack of water was 29.95....

becka, what do you mean by "pricey?" thanks!

I don't remember the exact price but I think it was around $15 for 12 bottles.

Just returned yesterday from the Magic. They were selling Evian for $28 a case. The staff was everywhere offering it the first day. You can also purchase individual bottles from room service or the bars or in the dining rooms.
