We're visiting our mom in Florida this summer, and taking her overnight to stay at the RPH and go to Universal.(She's not a parks person, but loves Emerils!) Since the room and dinner are our treat, she wants to buy the park tickets, but wants to wait until we get there, in case anything comes up. Question: With her being a Florida resident, does she just bring ID and buy them at the park? Can we get them at the hotel when we arrive in the morning?
Tks for any advice.

The Florida resident discount on tickets is only available online.

It's best to buy them online before you arrive. You need to do this at least 2 days before you visit. If you just show up, the line for tickets can be long.

At 11am, the line you see can fill up depending on what time of the year you visit. If you do decide to buy a ticket at the gate, arrive the parking garage at 8am, there's no line at this time.
A good idea is to buy them online, and pick them up at the Kiosk machines which are located next to the ticket windows. You bring the same credit card you used to buy online, swipe it, and get your tickets.

I would also say buy them online before you arrive. Not only for the discount but also because the parks have been having major problems the past couple days with their ticketing system. It keeps crashing, sometimes perodically, somtimes for hours or the whole day. Yesterday the system was down from 9:20am until 5:35pm. Take advantage of the discount and elimnate the need to stand in line at the front of the park and prepurchase those tickets online before coming.
