Buying Tickets

I am thinking about reserving my room on cheap tickets for the first time because of a $500 savings. I was checking prices on undercover tourist for tickets. How far in advance do you buy your tickets?

If I'm going to WDW and I want Fastpasses, I get my tickets so that they arrive in time for me to do FPs on the first day that I can.

We bought tickets from UT about 2 weeks before trip departure as we held out hoping for the $199 DVC deal from years past.
We were able to get FP for everything we wanted FP for, except the times may not have been optimal.

This year got them from Parksavers for the first time, in plenty of time to get Fp's.

I tend to buy them sooner than later, since the ticket prices have been going up yearly. So try to get the tickets before the next increase (has been February of late).
