buying tickets thru discover card?

Hubby just pointed out that Discover card lets you buy Universal park tickets using your cashback rewards (for a large discount basically).

I have to call them to get the scoop but has anyone tried this?

This is the first I've heard of this. Would love to know more.

I called and apparently it is only a gift certificate you can use to book a vacation package through their travel agency.

Can't use it just to buy ticket.

So, no good for us as we are just looking for tickets for a day trip.
