buying tickets: Disney, Entertainment Book, other sources?

I am wondering about buying Park Hopper tickets. The Entertainment Book prices are $20 less than the ones through Disney. But is it kind of 'safer' through Disney versus other sources? Do you get extra amenities, like a plastic sleeve, or something? Would it be better to use my Disney Visa?

Everyone's tips are fantastic on this board. Thank you! But I am getting a little overwhelmed with all the planning involved.

The Entertainment prices look great up front, but last year when I was going to purchase tickets, they tacked on a ridiculous amount of extra fees that ate up any savings and then some.

Buying from the Disneyland website gives a great discount over the gate prices, and using their e-ticket option, you completely bypass the ticket booths at the park and take your printed voucher straight to the turnstiles.

Getawaytoday.com and lastminutetravel.com are two sites that have even lower prices than Disneyland.com. I have personally used both and had no problems whatsoever. These companies email you a voucher that you print and take to the ticket booth to redeem for your actual ticket.

Using Disney Visa gets you no further discounts. If you are booking a package through Disney Travel, there are some 0% interest plans that you can access, I believe. The only other advantage to using the card is that your purchase accumulates the Disney Reward Dollars.

AAA car club, has discounted DL Passes. I have saved more getting them at my local AAA office than anywhere else!!

That is helpful information.

I'm in central Illinois and my local office doesn't sell Disneyland tickets, only the DisneyWorld. (not sure of any of the abbreviations). So I will see what seems best online.

Is it just me or ?? I never see a discount on aaa.com for Disneyland tickets and I live pretty close to DLR. Do you have to buy them at your local office then?

You have to look at AAA.com, under discounts, travel, theme parks, Our AAA office sold both DL And WDW Passes!
