Hello humans. My family and I are not staying on property this year so we need to buy tickets when we get down there. Where can I buy tickets at Downtown Disney? TIA -Amanda :goodvibes

There's two guest relations locations at DTD that sell tickets. One is next to the Marketplace Co-Op (Former Team Mickey) store. The other is located at Disney Quest on the West Side.

Keep in mind you won't be able to make FP+ reservations until you have tickets. You can order the tickets ahead of time, through Disney or Undercover Tourist and have them mailed to you so you are able to link them in My Disney Experience and make FP+ reservations 30 days ahead of your arrival.

You don't have to wait until you arrive to purchase tickets. :)

Thanks all, We are getting the military tickets since my mom is a veteran so we decided to wait since we can't activate them until she is at the turnstile, according to the WDW website. No need for FP+ this time around since we will be touring with a 5 month old. Just slow dark rides for us this time. :goodvibes -Amanda

As you must go to a Park (including water parks) ticket booth to activate the military passes, you may as well buy them at the same time. And DTD parking is an absolute mess right now due to all the road and parking structure construction.

Are these tickets available at Military Bases as well as SOG?

Last time we got them while traveling with military family, I believe we picked them up at SOG so that we didn't have to pay taxes. I am not 100% sure but doesn't Disney have to charge 6% tax on each ticket, while SOG are tax free? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

OK, We are going to go to SOG to purchase them now. Thanks all for your input.
