Buying points before i need them?

My question is: If i have 200 points (August use year), and I'm planning my October 05 trip using 120 points, and then i plan another trip for May 06, but it will use 100 points. When should i start looking for a transfer of the additional 20 points i need? If i bought them now, but they expire sometime after October 05, but before May 06, Would Disney use them first, or would i have to use my own points first, and then the ones i bought be expired before my May 06 trip? I hope that makes sense!

You could always borrow the 20pts from 2006...

Once they are transferred into your account, they are your points and can be used whenever you'd like. If you can find transferrable points today that will work for a planned trip, go ahead and get them for that trip. Transferred points may be banked, so you do have the ability to extend their use to suit your needs.
