Buying pins (trading pins) on the Dream

I thought I read somewhere that you can trade pins on the Dream, but do they also sell cruise specific pins or any trading pins in the shops? TYIA

All ships sell pins in the shops, and yes there are some themed to the shop, to DCL, Castaway Cay etc.

Normally there is PIN trading advertised in the navigator in the atrium and there are staff in the shops who may trade.

There are also sometimes special, limited edition pins themed to a particular itinerary, like the Greek Isles or Alaska. On the Magic and Wonder (not sure about the Dream), there is a night where there's "officer pin trading". The kids get a kick out of it, even though it is very obvious, and a little humorous, that someone just hands the captain a lanyard right before the event, because he is entirely clueless about pins!

Sometimes there are "mystery pins" that you can purchase after spending a certain amount in the stores. It's fun to try to collect the set of those.

On our Fantasy trip in April there was no pin trading. They said it was due to flu season. So just be prepared.
