Buying Passes from The Disney Store?

I think the best thing to do would be to order them online at disneyworld.com, and pick them up at will-call (which is any ticket window at any of the theme parks... and maybe at your hotel, but I'm not postive about that). By ordering them online before you go, you will still be able to get the advance purchase discount (it wont go on your roomkey, but it will buy you a meal or so).

I also want to point out that there is only an advance purchase savings (at TDS and I believe online also) only if you get 5 days or up with the hopping, plus or premium option.

thanks for the info

What does one do if they only need 2 days? I have a leftover pass from my last trip but still need those two days. Can you buy the three day at the store and then add the non expiring at the resort, and would it be worth it?

Since there is no difference in price between advance and gate purchase for tickets of 1-4 days, I my opinion is that you should simply wait till you get to WDW and buy a 2-day pass when you check into your resort.

Buying a 3-day pass when you only need 2 days, then adding the extra $20 or so to make it non-expiring, will cost you a lot more money without actually giving you any bennefit, other than having a single unused day laying around.

Buying an extra day or two is not a bad thing when you are talking about the difference between 4 and 6 days, or 6 and 8 days, but the difference between 2 and 3 days is enough to say, "Forget it, I'll just get the 2-day pass!"

How sturdy are the paper tickets? Will they make it through an 8 day trip without falling apart? I've never seen paper ones before. We've always had the plastic ones. Thanks!

At Guest Relations you can add days or non-expiration to your Disney Store purchased passes (or Ticketmania purchased passes) for the same add on price as for upgrading gate purchased passes, although the total cost is a little more than buying with all desired options directly from Ticketmania.

Paper tickets will last if not soaked multiple times on Kali River Rapids or a waterpark and not sat upon continually in your back pocket.

New revelation: For nine or ten day vacations you should be using one Expiring pass (or any combination of partially used passes and/or pre-2005 passes.)

Thanks! I think that is what I'll do then! Makes sense. Love your picture with Spaceship Earth!

We just returned from WDW and stayed at the Pop. I called 4 days ahead of time to Disney and ordered presale discounted tickets and they held them at will call. We had to pay for they by credit card but they were able to add them to our room key so we only had one card to worry about. Plus if they got lost they were easy to replace. I think each ticket was about $30 cheaper than the gate price. I did not have to pay shipping because we picked them up.

It worked well for us.

Specifically for you, no it would not be worth it.

The gate price of an expiring 5 day pass to be completely consumed immediately is $23. more than a 3 day pass, in advance the difference is smaller. A leftover pass with 1, 2, or 3 days remaining is worth over $60. per day on a future weekend only trip, a little more when you park-hop.

(Or buy a 7 day pass you add non-expiration ($59. more) to at the resort or a 7 day pass you add three more days and non-expiration ($118. more) to at the resort.)
