Hi!
Not sure if this is the right thread for this but.....
As of right now I have a military discount room booked along with a dining plan. Since we will be purchasing some of our tickets with the military discount, we will also need to purchase two more at regular price. Is it a pain to purchase the tickets once there? Also part of me is thinking of forgetting about purchasing the military discount tickets and just getting the full price tickets so we can have the convenience of a KttWC. (The military tickets would be a savings of about $800)
We are also traveling with a large group and it may be easier to just check in and be handed everything rather than buying tickets and activating the military ones.
So confused...
My brother is the military personnel traveling with us...
Thanks for any insight. I appreciate it in advance.

It's very easy to purchase tickets at the hotel, so it won't be a problem, but if you need to purchase regular price tickets, I would suggest you get them at AAA, if you are a member. You can purchase them prior to your trip and they are discounted from AAA.

RE: not buying the military tickets...in my opinion, $800 is a awful lot to spend for a little convenience. Think of the meals you could spend it on, or the souveniers....to me, that's a huge amount of money to forego for the sake of carrying around another ticket, but that's just MHO...:upsidedow

Have a great trip!

Are you saying that you purchased the special $99.00 tickets, I think they are called Armed Forces Salute Tickets, this is a special promotion going on that is only good until Dec. 31st, 2009, and then think you need to buy the rest at regular price??

I know you can only purchase 5 of the $99.00 tickets plus you get a ticket for the soldier free. But for the rest of the group your brother can still get a military discount that is always going on by purchasing them from his ITR Office (ticket place) on his base or buy purchasing them at the Shades of Green Resort on Disney Property when he gets there, they have the tickets at a discount and then you also do not pay tax on them either. We are going in July and have 13 going 12 that need tickets and we purchased the $99 ones for 5 of us The free one for my husband 3 tickets at the military price from our ITR (they were almost sold out) and then our just going to stop by Shades Of Green the day we get there to get the rest.

If you have any questions feel free to ask! I had to research this upside down and sideways for our upcoming trip.

Hey all!
We went to go buy our millitary discount park tickets at our base last week, and oh no:scared1: SOLD OUT....not for 1 not for 2 NOT EVEN FOR 3...but for 4 weeks they wont have any. I am thinking, huh?!:confused3 How long does it TAKE to mail tickets anyway?
So, being that we are leaving in only a week... We need to figure it out. I called our happy Disney hotline...(still not an 800#) and they said we could buy them at shades of green OR ANY of the parks.... WELL....That sure made it a LOT easier than getting them ahead of time here. I sure was relieved.:smooth:
Disney World, here we come! :earsboy:
