Buying Oogie Boogie Tickets - Timing

I do think Halloween Night itself could sell out by the end of the day tomorrow. A lot of people are anticipating this virtual queue now so I think more people will be buying in advance this year.
I mean, anything is possible! There is absolutely more of a "frenzy" about booking things; there's pent-up demand; without APs, there may be more people willing to splurge on a Halloween party to get some park hours in... I definitely think it's wise for people who know what they want and have the ability to book right away to do so! But, I also think there's good cause to reassure people who are feeling stressed.

There are a lot of reasons that comparing to past years may end up to be foolish, but for reference from the superthreads here:
In 2019, tickets went on sale in April. The first date to sell out was Thursday, Sept. 26 (one of the cheapest days), and it sold out on July 15. 9/29 and 10/31 went next, selling out August 2.

In 2018 (when the party was still at DL), tickets went on sale in June. The first day to sell out was Friday, Oct. 2, and it sold out July 10. Friday, October 5 sold out on July 20. Halloween didn't sell out until 9/11.

Additionally, when DL reservations went on sale in April, opening day and DCA on Avenger's Campus opening did sell out (although it took awhile). The next days to sell out were the cheapest days available for the 1-day tiered tickets.

Clearly, what I’m about to type clearly falls under “first world problems:” :rotfl2:

If your travel plans dictate attending OBB on a particular date, it's important to purchase ASAP (IMO). If you're more flexible, there is less of a "stress factor.” For example, there are two party dates during our upcoming trip. The first is a Tuesday but it’s also our DD's birthday. She doesn't want to go to the party that day, and we have other priorities, so the only option is to go on Thursday. But I suspect Thursdays will sell out faster than Tuesdays because people will just kick-start a long weekend at the resort on Thursday night. I don’t have any data to support that … just a hunch. So you bet I’ll be online at 9 a.m. tomorrow, watching the BTMRR animation on repeat.

I'm positive there will be a virtual que. Gothic Rosie put it on blast reminding everyone to buy their tickets tomorrow right at 9am pst. She gave details on what you should or shouldn't do to get your tickets... I was like uuuggg don't remind people or give them info, I need tickets for a particular day😵😖 lol. I'm stressed about this virtual que as I have to work tomorrow. Uuugg the stress of trying to get these tickets is some next level stuff. I re-arranged my whole trip added extra days, changed my flight and everything so I'm praying it works out.🤞🤞

I actually just confirmed my CC information on file was up to date, per Gothic Rose's advice!

No queue yet, right? Just want to make sure I'm not missing anything... My date could be flexible, but I'm trying to help a friend get tickets, and her date is not!

Cant remember if it pops up on the main page when tickets are available?
Touch of Disney and the initial park ticket release both had a "button" show up on the purchase page. I'd expect it to be under the "Purchase Tickets" heading on the OBB page.

This is going differently than those ticket releases, because those buttons went live well before tickets actually went on sale. Interested to see how this will go... will there still be a "pre-queue" kind of holding room that starts at 9 (or later), or will it go straight to an actual virtual queue, without that randomizing moment?

Starting to get a feeling that there isnt going to be a queue and it'll be a free for all, so they can get their "site down for hours" headlines

Edit: Spoke too soon!
