Buying jeans for kids

I buy my daughter's "play" jeans at Target then I get some nicer ones at Kohls or Children's Place to wear to school. I have never purchased jeans at Justice but I am not happy with the fit or quality of their other clothes.

Buy them at Sears. With the Kidvantage guarantee, if they wear out before she outgrows them, they'll replace them for free.

I'd do this or go to the thrift store. I get brand name jeans in common sizes for $3 or less.

I don't find Justice expensive at all as along as you use the 40% off coupons and their jeans last until my daughter outgrows them. She has never had the knees wear out of the pants wear out at all. She will only wear the super skinny jeans and Justice fit the best.

Old Navy jeans are about the lowest quality out there, but if your only issue is the knees, here's how to fix that problem:

When the jeans are still brand-new, have her put them on and pin the spot where her knee hits.
Turn them inside out and iron on denim reinforcement patches to the INSIDE of the jeans. (These patches cost about $1/two patches at Walmart.)
The patches won't show from the outside of the pants, and the rest of the jeans will show wear LONG BEFORE her knees wear out.

I unfortunately have to purchase Old Navy Jeans because this is the only place I can find jeans that offer slim and the adjustable waist band. I love the styles/colors they offer but I have the same knee problems with one of my boys but the other one has never ripped a pair before and they have been wearing old navy jeans since they were toddlers.

This is what I SHOULD have done for all my boys jeans! So many ripped knees and I never thought to do this!

Sears has slims with adjustable waist bands.

WHen my kids where younger I would always buy them jeans at sears. Especially, for my DS...he was hard on his jeans until about 4th grade. ;)With the 'kids advantage' Sears would replace his jeans if they got a hole in them.

When my oldest DD was in about 4th grade she wanted justice clothes (they weren't Justice at the time). I started looking for coupons for her to go to Justice. Thank god for the coupons at justice! Otherwise we could not have afforded it.

My youngest DD also loved justice! She is 11 now and to big for Justice.

Because I had 2 girls-- 7 years apart we have been very, faithful shoppers for many years. I always go in and buy clothes at the back-to-school time with a coupon (40%). Then justice would give you "bucks" to come back in a month or two and puchase more. I have never paid full price for anything I have purchased at justice. I also liked to go and check their clearance rack often!

Once upon a time Old Navy had decent quality kids jeans thsat lasted. I had sevral pairs that were passed on from my oldest DD to youngest DD. Sadly they are of lower wuality these days and seem to wear out faster. Plus the skinnt jean look does not fit my kids. I have found that the Children's Place jeans quality is ok, and when on sale well worth purchaisng. For our oldest DD these are the only jeans that I buy here as they ahve the plus size and adjustable waistband. JCP has ok quality too. I purchased some at Walmart because that's all we ahve in town and in the future I will avoid them like the plague.

Sears jeans and kid advantage worked well for us in the past.
