Hello peeps and could anyone help with a few questions -

I am a seasoned disney freak and I have decided to buy a property in orlando, basically I am looking to spend 200 -300K on a property which is not for letting but for my and family use, can anyone recomend a good (preferably UK based) agent who you have dealt with

also

If I purchase a property can I get into the parks paying the yearly florida residents rate.

My friends who live over there at the moment are saying this would be a bad time to buy because they believe prices are about to take a sharp drop and it would be better to wait a bit. I can't remember all the requirements to get a Florida resident AP but I know a Florida Driving License is one option. If you are going to be going over a lot that might be sensible to get anyway.

Home prices are over-inflated at this time in the Orlando area, however there have been some reports on the local news recently that the market should be correcting itself somewhat in the near future. For instance, I paid $250,000 for my home here three years ago. It is now valued at $500,000. That being said, there are tons of new empty homes in the area. Because the mortgage companies holding the paper on these houses can only afford to do so for so long, the assumption is that they will start selling them for less very soon. This should cause somewhat of a downswing in the overall prices in the area.

If you have a home here for which you pay taxes, I believe you can get a Florida ID card that you can use to purchase Florida Resident passes to the theme parks.
