I am currently in the process of buying a small allotment of points through resale. I know when you make an initial membership purchase through Disney you need to purchase about 160 points? If I purchase a 50 point membership through resale can I later add on smaller (about 50) point purchases through Disney?

I hope that makes sense!

Once you close and get your membership number, you can add as little as 25 points without any closing costs.

Our first contract was resale for 75 points. I have subsequently added on twice through Disney. If the points are available, you get them right away and there are no closing costs. I used my Disney Visa for the add on points. This way I earned Disney dollars and had 6 months to pay with no intrest.

Disney also lowered the buy-in requirement to 50 points I believe.

Disney will now let you buy as few as 50 points from them if you are not a member? This is news to me. I thought it was a 160 points.

A couple of weeks ago, the guide mentioned that 100 points was the minimum buy in at Aulani.

I can confirm that you can become a new member with a 50 point purchase. I did it myself 3 weeks ago. No discounts, but they will do it. Just ask the telesales rep.
