Buying DVC annual passes - which delivery method?

When purchasing DVC discounted annual passes, is there any reason to choose having them shipped versus "Will call?" My understanding is that you will receive a voucher if it is shipped that you then redeem at guest services. If you choose "will call," you would also need to visit guest services, so I am thinking either choice is fine and pretty mucht the same. Also, in either case, you would immediately get a number to allow you to link the pass and make FP+ choices? Just want to be sure before purchasing. Thanks!

Get the vouchers. These can be redeemed at any ticket window- you don't have to go to guest services at all. This can save you a lot of time, if you visit on a day that the guest services line is long.

You will have to bring both your drivers licenses and DVC ID cards for each adult to the ticket window when you redeem the vouchers.

Regardless of delivery method (Will Call or Exchange Certificate (aka Vouchers)), you can exchange for the actual passes at either a Park Ticket Window or Guest Relations Location.

I used will call for my last one, I could immediately link it to MDE. You have to go to a window anyway to activate, why pay the mailing fee?

I always have them sent to me, in case I have to cancel the trip I would pick them up for. Was $5 to mail to you.

Thanks everyone for the quick responses! Fyi, there is an option to have them shipped for free via the USPS. It is just slower delivery than domestic express (Fed Ex), which says they would be delivered "after" less than a week. For USPS for free, it says they will arrive "after" two weeks from the purchase date. Since our trip is over 6 weeks away, that would be okay.

Neither the will call number nor the vouchers "expire" (unless it is for a special promotion). So you don't need the voucher to protect you from a trip cancellation. It's a personal choice.

I won't use will call again.... the CM that ordered my AP's for me spelt our name wrong. She couldn't find us in the computer. By the grace of God I happen to have the right credit card with me, one I don't usually carry . Had I not had it with me they would not have been able to find our AP's and issue them to us, or at least that is what was told to me. So vouchers it is for us.
