Buying Camcorders Accessories in the USA

I'm seriously looking at buying a Sony or Panasonic DV camcorder for July's trip. Thought about waiting until we're there before buying but need to get one for April - both DDs are in dance shows. At least this will give me something to practice on !

However, would be looking to purchase an additional battery and thought I might do this in the USA if cheaper. Has anyone tried this ? Where is the best place to buy ?

I seem to recall a camera shop in Kissimmee Old Town. Is there anywhere else ?

we bought a spare battery for our sony camcorder at the airport as it was much cheaper to do that than go to the high street.Not sure how much they are in usa. We bought extra tapes from wal mart.
have a look on the wal mart site to see if they are cheaper than over here.

We bought a spare battery at a photo shop on the 192 cant remember the name of shop was selling suitcases in there asswell. Really good service had all photo's developed and put on disc there too. Also got a new case and lense. We purchased a gameboy advance there too.
