Ok, I called the 800 number that was on the DVC website and talked to a guide on the phone about DVC. I then see this thread on the Disneyland board about better incentives when buying at DL i.e. $15 off pp, 2 free AP's at either DL or WDW....and now am wondering if I should hop the next plane to DL (or just drive there) and get in on this offer. I'm waiting for the guide that I had talked to the other day to call me back. I am going to ask about this offer. I don't understand how they can have two different incentives for buying at the same place? They asked me where I was calling from when I first phoned. I said California. This would save me almost $1500 on a 150 point purchase and nearly $2000 for 250 points. Is it too late for me do you think? Since I already talked to someone else on the phone? Help!! Does anyone else have information about this offer? Thanks.....

Im afraid I have some bad news for you. Since you have already spoken to your (non-Californian guide) he/she is considered your guide. It will not matter what you do at this point. You will always be routed back to your original guide. The reason DVC sales at DLR receive different incentives, is that most DLR visitors are on the west coast. They are buying "site unseen" and many are not regular WDW visitors, and many have never even been. They have to offer them a little more to convince them to buy a timeshare that is a 5 hour plane ride from the west coast. Once they build a DVC in California, look for the AP incentive to go away.

Just thought of something, if you are married, have your spouse go to DLR and sign up.

Does anyone know how long this offer is good? We are going to DL March 21-25 and were planning to buy annual passes. I am really debating buying into DVC at this deal. Is there absolutely no way to get this over the phone?

DVC is in the business of making money. They are doing such a good job of it that that are converting existing resorts to DVC property. Bottom line is they want to sell to you. IMO it doesn't matter what the deal is, they will find a way to get you a deal and sell to you. We have been told, "this offer is only good for 3 days". Call them back in 2 weeks and they will find a way to honor the offer. Told them that we didn't like our Guide, A sales manager called me back and asked me which guide we wanted. Told them that we didn't want to take the tour, "here is a $100.00 for your time". On our next trip, "come see us again". No thanks, "how about $45.00". It's all part of the sales game. They have a quota and you can help them fill it. DVC makes sense for some people and not for others. It really makes sense for Disney. ;)

Alison, the 2 free Annual Pass deal is on-going, we got ours in August. They could always take it away, but I don't think it will go away until a DVC on the west coast is announced. I do know you can only get it if you are Physically at DLR. I have a great guide that works there, Heidi Shimke. Ask for her, she is very no pressure, but very knowlegible about DVC. Good Luck!

According to the DL APholder magazine, the 2 free AP deal ends the day AKV begins selling to the public, early next week.

It's always a possibility that it will be extended, and there is always a new incentive around the corner. The 2 AP deal is a huge incentive IMO, so I hope it stays until they announce a DL DVC.
