HI! We just started the process of buying 350 points at BCV. Now I am reading here about Magical Beginnings having a discounted price. Can anyone explain to me what that is? Do you have to ask for it to get the discount?

Thanks in advance!:Pinkbounc

It is selling back your first year's points to Disney, for $10 a point. You can apply this to your down payment. It makes the price per point $74 instead of $84. This is what is available at BCV right now. After you close you could still borrow some points from the following year.

Magical Beginnings allows you to sell back your points for the first year that you own them to Disney for $10.00 each. This money is used toward your down payment. I know that the minimum for using MB is 100 points but I'm not sure if there is a maximum.

The good part is that you can always borrow next year's points so if you want to go within this use year you still can.

Or you CAN keep your first year's points if you prefer! If you intend to use them, that's a perfectly sensible thing to do. After all, those points have a market value of about $10/point. One can very reasonably take the point of view that they are just as valuable if put to use as if sold back. It's just a matter of whether you need the cash or the points during the first year.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! I appreciate the quick responses! :teeth:
