Buying an extra night for Free Dining?

We'll be going September 18-25 for free dining, and we're so excited!! It's our first time to stay on-property and our first time to ever, ever eat a TS meal on Disney property!!

We're going to 7 nights and have picked out our 7 TS restaurants:
Crystal Palace
Coral Reef
Sci Fi or 50's PTC
Donald's Safari Breakfast
Chef Mickey's
Ohana
1900 Park Fare

We were thinking about adding an extra day if hubby can get off from work. It would only be $92 extra for the three of us. Then we thought...even if we can't get the day off from work, would $92 be worth 2 extra adult TS credits, 1 extra TS credit, 3 extra CS credits, and 3 extra snack credits?? Should we get it even if we don't stay the extra night, just for the meals?

I added 3 nights to my ressies just for the food. I have a 6 night ressie at the pop but we are only staying 3 nights there because I won 7 nights free at the CBR. So we will have 3 extra days of food and then we will just pay out of pocket. we have done free dining for the last 3 years and we like the TS but it is 4 of us so it is worth it.

so I would tell you to add the extra day only if the extra meals add up to more that $92.

I would decide where else you want to eat and figure out the credits. And be aware - a lot of people have extra, unused CS and Snack credits at the end of their trip - if this was you - it obviously wouldn't be worth it since you're paying for extra time you don't really need.

I wouldn't do it because I would worry that someone else wouldn't be able to get a reservation due to a night that I am booking but not using that might be the first night they wanted to stay at the same resort. But that's my opinion and my decision only.

I think this is an interesting idea but would probably screw up Magic Express for getting back to the airport at the end of your stay.
For us with 4 in the room it would be great to add 2 days to the ressie. That would allow us to have 2 charater breakfasts and 2 CS breakfast for $184 instead of $250.
I will be checking on this and report back.

I would just pay OOP for Crystal Palace Breakfast and forget about buying an extra night of DDP which I don't think you can without adding an extra night stay to your resort.

The thing is that the extra night is cheaper then buying the meals OOP Even the cheaper breakfasts come out to a wash plus you get extra CS & SC.

Your right even if they don't stay the extra night they get 3 TS 3 CS and 3 SC to use the 7 days they are there.
