We will pay it off before getting hit with credit cArd interest

So if you've done this which card did you feel have you the best deal?

How will is disney to work with you for multiple cards , installments ?

Was there any additional charges but Disney for using a credit card???

I appreciate all the good info on this site. Thanks in advance!!!

There are no fees for using a credit card .

Chase Disney Visa gives you 0% for 6 months plus your 1or 2% earnings depending on your card.

I put deposit down and asked for balance to be deferred until my next billing cycle. So, I essentially stretched the 6 months to 7.

Slapped our 25 on the SWA Visa. As said, no problem. Points the next day.

Hmm . 6 months is good for regular Disney visa . I have that but didn't see that perk.

We split the cost between a couple rewards cards, and always pay off our balance in full each month. One of our cards gives us 2% cash back (no limits/restrictions) while the other is a more traditional reward points card.

Back when I bought direct I opened up 2 Southwest cards and split the payments evenly. This hit the minimum spend on both cards ( i think it was something like spend $4k in the first 3 months to get 50k points). So I ended up with 100,000 Southwest points from the signup bonuses plus the 20,000 points for the $20k I charged for DVC. This also got me the companion pass, which one earns at 110k points in a year.

Whenever I have any large purchases on the horizon I usually will open up a credit card and use those to meet the minimum spend. I'd either check out the I LOVE CREDIT CARDS thread on the Budget board https://www.disboards.com/threads/i...v2-0-see-first-page-for-addl-details.3729982/ or sites like Boardingarea.com. They are whizzes on how to maximize credit cards into discounted or free travel.

My advice is to look at what your travel plans are in the next 12 to 24 months and get open a travel or bank card that fits those needs. OP, is there a particular airline you usually use or any other travel plans you have in the near future? We might be able to give you specific examples that would benefit you.

(disclaimer: people should only open travel or rewards cards if they can pay off the balance IN FULL each month, as interest rates are usually very high on these types of cards)

We always fly for free on points thanks to our southwest card. I think right now they're offering only 30K miles BUT you automatically get the companion pass. 4K Spend. So pretty easy to qualify on 2 cards with 1 purchase. Only worth it if you're gonna travel more than once by 12/31/19 IMO. I liked the 60K miles they have previously offered better. We can usually stretch 60K miles pretty far.
