Buying a stroller for Disney - Chicco or Maclaren?

Just wanted to let everyone know that my new Volo came today and it is awesome! It also came with the rain cover. Thanks for all the suggestions - I would definitely recommend this to others who are shopping. DD really liked it and didn't want to get out.

Just wanted to say thanks for letting us know about this and keeping us posted on delivery! I ordered from the same place on Friday! It already shipped on Saturday so can't wait to get it!! Our trip is in May!

My DH has been a stroller hater for years, 20 plus years. He just told me last night no stroller for our 5 year old or I will be responsible for pushing both of them! men. And I said You will be responsible for carrying his sleeping body to and from the resort/monorail/buses/and back!

ps. I'm taking both volos. He'll figure out how glad he is once we are there.

My DS5 still likes to sit after an hour at the mall! They both sleep fine in their volos as well.

We got a Chicco for our baby shower as our official WDW stroller, but when we took it out of the box to use, my DH kept kicking the back wheels so we went to Babies R Us to check out a new stoller. We didn't plan on buying a maclaren because of the cost, but it was the only stroller DH didn't kick the wheels on. We are so glad we spent the extra $$ because we LOVE our mac. (We were able to return the Chicco at full price) I guess what I am trying to say is...test them all before you buy, you'll find the right one for you and tot!

We are having The "stroller delema" also... Concerned about the Volo not reclining. Also the official MAC website say it goes to 55lbs not 65lbs. My DS is 40lbs just turned 3. I also have a DD about to turn 2. We are going in September. My DH is trying to tell me we don't need strollers. We went last September and had a hard time getting DS to ride in his stroller then at 2 1/2. We pushed it around empty 1/2 the time but he did nap in it some. I Couldn't imagine not having it. It was hard at night coming home on the packed buses trying to carry to 2 strollers and 2 sleepy toddlers. This time DS will be 3 1/2. We had the Red Chicco strollers last year and loved them. But now DS is over the 37lb weight limit. Thinking of selling the two chicco ones and our other Double Graco Stroller and buying two new ones. I can't get one new one with out the other with out fights. Easier to just get two new ones. Found the 2007 Volo at Babye-store.com for only 74.99 with free shipping.
So any thoughts...
Stroller no Stroller for DS at 3 1/2 years ???
Maybe just try to use the Chiccos or bring just one ???
Or get new ones ??? I'M SOOO CONFUSED...

There is no way that I would take a 3 1/2 yr old to Disney without a stroller!! My DD rode in her Volo until she was 7!! She didnt sit in it all the time at that age, but while she was out of it we used it to haul all the stuff we didnt want to have to carry. I would rather have a place for my child to sit then to have to listen to a tired and cranky child complain about having to walk. My DD slept in her Volo many times- no problems. She also fell asleep most evenings when we were there for EMH. It was great because no one had to just sit somewhere and hold her. We just pushed on and did all the rides and shows we wanted to do. We are a commando family so it worked great for us. Now we have added DD5mos to the mix so she has a Quest and older DD walks now.

I can rave about the Maclaren's until I'm blue in the face. I love mine and have said that I'll never buy another stroller brand.

I have the MAC Triumph and the Volo....Love them both! Make sure you get the mesh bag for the back though......they are about $20.

I am so glad I found this thread, I have been looking at the same two strollers as the OP and was leaning toward the Chicco, no stores here have the volvo so I could test drive it. But I think now I will get the Volvo and buy online. I want the new 2008 black and rasberry color, it is not avaliable yet so I will have to wait a few weeks.
