Has anyone bought a kimono in Epcot before? What're they like? How much do they cost?

I've purchased a haori jacket from the Japanese Pavillion (it's a shorter kimono-like jacket worn over a kimono). Heavy silk, fully lined. I typically buy vintage haori jackets and use them instead of jackets but this one was black with little black embroidered butterflies. Unfortunately, the last couple of times they didn't have as much selection. I can't recall the price but it was in line with the vintage ones that I buy - maybe about $100? They did have some totally gorgeous kimonos there when I was there in 2013 but they were on the expensive side because they were silk and hand made.

However, they also have some kimono-like robes, silk and non-silk, that are very nice and quite reasonable. I bought one for my niece and she loves it.

They sell a range. From very, very expensive silk kimono to affordable yukata ( the cotton summer kimono) to cheap polyester. I think the last cotton yukata I bought was a little over $100, but that was a couple of years ago. I wear it as my summer robe and it still looks like new.

I just bought a shortie kimono (polyester, so machine washable and very silky) in Epcot China. It was $38, and very pretty! I love it. :-)

A while back they used to have a discounted rack. I got a full length one, and if it wasn't packed away in a box right now I would tell you what material it is. It was $57 and it has held up for 10+ years.

My daughter got a beautiful full length one in a women's small size. I think it was around $70.

Good info in this thread as DD2 announced yesterday that she wants a kimono from Disney this year.

DGD got a pair of pajamas (she was 17 months old). I think they were in the $45 range.
Seemed good quality.
