We are supposed to travel to Disney In June. I have been watching the rates on SW since they are the only airline to offer N/S flights from San Antonio to Orlando. Last week they were $326. Now they are $408! I could save $50 by flying another airline, but with 5 hours additional travel time (since when do you have to fly to Chicago to get from Texas to Florida?!) That is hardly worth it with a 1yo.

I don't know if I should just purchase tickets at the current rate (twice as much as I have ever paid to go to Orlando) or hold out to see if I can get a better rate?

Also about 2 weeks ago, the fare went from $326 to $411, then back to $326 again. Do I wait and see if they go down again?

I am starting to panic and wonder if I should reschedule to whole trip. Help!

I totally understand your frustration. :lmao: I am also trying to fly to Orlando late June. I have been watching these flights for about a month and a half. I am flying from the Massachusetts area and I have never had to pay
over 300.00 before. I keep hoping that there is going to be some great sale. I'm sure I am probably kidding myself, :bitelip: but to bite the bullet and purchase these tickets is killing me. Of course, if I wait much longer I probably won't even be able to get a flight. :rolleyes2 this whole process is driving me crazy

You needed to purchase your tickets last month! Seriously, do not wait if you are leaving next month. You've already waited too long, prices are only going to increase.

I know I should have booked earlier, unfortunately I wasn't sure if my DD 13 would be going or not (grades) and so I waited. Now I am beginning to think I should just reschedule my dates.

Disney is going to LOVE me if I reschedule again. I work for The Disney Store, and Disney had this deal where if we booked before they sold the stores to Hoop Retail in Nov. 2004 we could still get the CM rate. I originally booked for June 13, 2005 then a week later found out I was pregnant w/ DS, due date...June 13. Rebooked Dec. 2005 but couldn't get the time off. Rescheduled again for this June. Now I'm thinking October sounds good because of the current cost of airfare! It was such a hassel last time, that I dread trying again, but saving $200 might just be worth it. Besides, I've never been for Halloween! :)

I agree, you should have already purchased your tickets. If you wait any longer, high prices won't be the only problem, no availability may also happen. Purchase now or cancel your trip. JMO

:thumbsup2 we got our's yesterday.....total 727.20 for 3. I didn't want to take the chance and pay more......

We are going from MA to Orlando in July. I'm so glad I booked our flight at the beginning of March -- non-stop from BOS to MCO for $177 on American. It was the cheapest I could find and I was pleased with it then -- more pleased now!

Hi,

I would buy now and hope for a ding, then at least you lock in a lower fare and have a credit for the future.
